Antec's TruePower Quattro series heralds the arrival of the new generation of power supplies! Four +12V rails let you distribute your power more evenly, for a more stable system. The 850-watt Antec TPQ-850 provides serious power for even the most cutting edge components. The Active PFC design and 80 mm low noise fan provide reduced vibration, lower noise emission, efficient cooling, and incredibly enhanced performance. Universal Input and ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V v2.91 compliance ensures that you can use the TPQ-850 almost anywhere.
The 80PLUS certification, meaning it consumes about 33% less energy than many equivalent power supplies with the same power output. With an MTBF of 100,000 hours, your TPQ-850 will be around for a long time to come. With one main connector (20 + 4 pin), one 12V (4-pin), one 12V (8-pin), nine Molex, eight SATA, two floppy, and four PCI-E (2 x 6-pin, 2 x 8-pin) connectors you can wire in all of the necessary pieces for a killer PC.
Industrial grade components provide stable and unflappable output and protection against power and voltage surges. It sports four +12V outputs (12V1, 12V2, 12V3, 12V4) to power the most killer system you can build. The modular cables are sleeved and labeled to give your system a clean and professional look, while the racing stripe paint job will add some extra style. Get one today, and let your foes feel your power!
Pros: Modular cabling is nice and easy to install. Very steady delivery of power.
Cons: Clips on the cables are more fragile than any I have ever used. I broke one of the SATA connectors while trying to run the cable from the power supply to the drive. I don't really know what I hit it on that broke the clip. Documentation is incorrect as to the supplied connectors.
Other Thoughts: I am very satisfied with this power supply, as is usually the case with one from Antec. It is a little larger than standard power supplies but certainly not the largest of the more powerful ones. It was a little tough to fit into my older Stacker 830 case, but got it to work. I am impressed with how stable the power has been on each of the rails. Less than 2% variation on the 12V from idle to full load so far.

I never had a problem with this PSU, and some others claim its really loud, it can depend on the person or the unit. My whole case is watercooled and all other fans are at like 17db and I never hear my PSU fan (trust me i lay my head next to it and cant hear it other than feeling some air hitting my face). Very good PSU and no hiccups. I also play tons of games on this PC and have pushed a lot of power through it and still never a problem.
Cons: None.
Other Thoughts: I actually purchased this through another site and had custom sleeving and custom connectors done because I didnt want to go through the hassle, and I must say I love this PSU. Been using Thermaltake and Antec PSU's for a long time and never a problem. Also running vista 64-bit and running a 24 inch samsung monitor just to share. Btw I did rail checks and voltages and no drops or overages, and am running this on a UPS box, very stable and nice.

Tech Level: somewhat high - Ownership: 1 month to 1 year
Pros: Works. I'm still using it.
Cons: I've run this power supply about 8 hours a day for 6 months, and up until now, it's been nice and quiet. But lately, it's started making a clicking sound, like winding an old clock, or a cricket chirping. At first, I thought it might be my case fan, but I took that out and it's definitely the power supply, probably its fan. The sound comes and goes without any discernible pattern and to me is annoying. Not as loud as a common stock power supply, but still not the way it was when it was new.

Pros: Solid PSU, voltage solid on all tests while it worked.
Cons: Loud whining noise after its been powered off for an extended period of time. Clips on cables could be a little more sturdy.
Other Thoughts: Had this PSU for 1 year and 10 days and it went out in the middle of a Bioshock session. Oddly enough the PSU on my home server is an antec and went out 2 weeks ago. It did manage 1 1/2 years. However, the cheap Allied in the HTPC has been running solid for 3 years.
