Continuing the Antec tradition of quiet, yet solid power supplies, the Antec Basiq 350 offers brand-name reliability at a value price. Suitable for the entry-level power user or the budget minded system builder, the Basiq 350 is ATX12V v.2.01 compliant. Its universal connector will fit most branded ATX motherboards and the 4-pin 12V, SATA, floppy and 20 + 4 pin main connector along with the four Molex connectors let you hook up a variety of components.

It offers built-in, industrial grade protection circuitry to guard against damage from power overloads, short circuits and over voltage. With 350 watts of power at your command, dedicated power circuitry delivers maximum, stable power to your CPU via dual +12V output circuits independently of the other components.

An 8cm cooling fan draws heat out of the power supply without the tell-tale loud noise of other brands. All of this is backed by Antec's 1-year parts and labor warranty for extra peace of mind.

  • newegg ATX12V v2.01 Compatible Compatible with the ATX12V v2.01 standard, the Antec Basiq BP-350B power supply provides maximum power stability to drive the processors as well as other system components.
  • newegg 350W Maximum Power A maximum power of 350W delivers safe, reliable output for basic computer systems.

5 out of 5 eggsBEST PSU for the money!

Pros: I have bought several of these and have experienced no failures or strange system behavior due to this PSU. For the money, you aren't going to get a better PSU. Although there are some limitations (see cons below), this is a well made unit and provides stable and reliable voltages. I work on computers and unreliable power supplies shorten the life of systems dramatically in the form of blown motherboard capacitors, etc. Certain brands sold at discount retailers (one headquartered in Arkansas) would almost certainly be a much better system if you pulled the stock power supply and used one of these. The common cable length complaint shouldn't be an issue in most mini-atx cases.

Cons: There are a limited number of connectors, only two SATA, and the cables are short, which can make connecting difficult in some mid tower cases. The cables also lack shielding, which I haven't found to be a problem in all but a few systems, which are already using a much larger PSU.

Other Thoughts: If you are on a budget and want the cheapest possible, but also want quality, go this route. You will regret getting a cheaper unit as you will likely have other hardware related failures that more than offset the cost.

The cable length issue shouldn't be a problem in mini-ATX cases.

These are great to throw in customer PCs bought at discount stores when the PSUs fry and don't take the rest of the system along.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat PS

Pros: It's an Antec 350w power supply and it was $20 bucks.

Cons: As previously mentioned in past reviews, cable/power connectors are a tad too short. Even for a mid-size tower.

Other Thoughts: If it wasn't for the short cable length I would not hesitate to give this power supply 5 eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent for budget machines

Pros: Quiet fan, good output for basic computing

Cons: 1 sata connector... be sure to buy some adapters

Other Thoughts: this psu is meant for microATX systems. The cables are SHORT, so don't buy it for larger systems.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Provides power to a motherboard / components; cheap

Cons: As others have stated, the cables are short

Other Thoughts: I have an Antec P180 case (the power supply is in the bottom of the case) and so my mobo power cable was too short to reach the connector on the motherboard. The power supply does work and boot my media / file server and lets it run stable. If it had longer cables and I could actually mount it where it is supposed to mount I would give this a 5 egg rating, but based on the price and the fact that it works (and saved my file server fo a very low price) I give it 4 eggs.

In a traditional case (power supply at top of case) this would most likely not be an issue, however I cannot test this theory as I do not have a traditional case.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Had just enough moldex connectors to get the computer running and SATA power for the new hard drive.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Replaced a no name power supply that worked fine but started to melt the insulation off one of the wires. My recomendation is to never buy off brand to save a few bucks when it comes to something that could ruin your whole rig.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: As always, newegg is great. Arrived fast. This power supply is what it is, but it does what it is meant to. Works fine for lower-end/budget systems. I purchased 2 of these and both work great. One is even running a 9600 Phemon system, so that's pretty impressive. Perfect buy for average user.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Don't expect the wolrd, but this will run a basic system just fine. Antec has always made a good power supply in my experience.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap Solutions

Pros: Very inexpensive for budget boxes and oem replacements. Bought several with no issues.

Cons: Could have had longer cables. No length for pretty cable management. Only 1 sata connector.

4 out of 5 eggsnot bad

Pros: I purchased this to repair someone's pc, received in working order. I checked all volt spec's with meter and all pushing spec.

Cons: none. just wish they would put a guard around harness
outlet,but a lot of psu makers don't.

Other Thoughts: This fit into a micro atx case, real close but fit. Good price.

And as always NEWEGG is the best, I love them, one of the best company's period.

1 out of 5 eggsThe bottom of the barrel

Pros: Cheap, quiet

Cons: **** WARNING - 90 day Warranty****
PS died in less than a week, System is a Gigabyte MA78GM-S2HP with a AMD BE2300 factory HS fan,Hitichi 500GB HD and a Lite-on 20X burner with 1 rear 120MM case fan. This should have last a long time in the case with these minor requirement.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this PS last Nov when they were $14 bucks shipped free. Just remember, you get what you pay for. I have never purchased a cheap power supply and will not again. Once I recieve the replacement from Antec I will place it where it belongs, in the garbage becuase I sure it's refurb.
