3 out of 5 eggsAntec 650W RMA'd, replacement works better.

Pros: Seems to hold the voltage very steady. Quiet when the fan controller is working. Probably the best value out there if you get a good one, but I could have got a higher powered unit for the same money when I consider the cost of the RMA.

Cons: Had to RMA the original unit because the fan control went crazy on the second day I had it and started blowing the fan at full speed. It was very loud ALL THE TIME. When I originally purchased the unit it was $90, I purchased a replacement at $100, Newegg hasn't refunded the difference as of yet.

Other Thoughts: The replacement unit I received seems to have a properly working fan controller unit so far. I've had it installed for about two weeks now. I saw a similar problem somebody had with a TP-750 on Tom's Hardware so I RMA'd mine. The replacement unit I received has a slightly older serial number. So I'm hoping the fan controller problems are just a luck of the draw and not something that will develop again over time.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat a power supply

Pros: -Excellent voltage regulation and ripple suppression.
-Not noisy at all. Very quiet actually.
-You would think that hybrid modular is a bad thing compared to full modular. But there's really only 1 cord that's not used and it's one of the two cpu connectors
-Plenty of extra cords to mess around with.
-The sleeves on the cords is a nice touch. It matches the interior of my case.
-5 year warranty and price that you can't beat for such superb quality

Cons: As I said before, you won't be able to use one of the cpu cords. Not really a big issue though
The tips of cords aren't sleeved, but that's a very minor issue.

I can't possibly take an egg for either of these. This power supply is just too good for it's price

Other Thoughts: This was an amazing upgrade for me. I was using a cheaper power supply before this and noticed my voltage regulation wasn't too stable. I'm sure if I had not bought this power supply, my older unit would have probably caused some damage to my system over time.

1 out of 5 eggsFail

Pros: Worked for 8 months

Cons: Worked for 8 months

Other Thoughts: This was put in my first build. Previously owned 4 Dell PCs. This was first PSU failure I've experienced. Based on what I hear about others experience RMAing Antec garbage I'm not even gonna bother. Hopefully the 650w Corsair unit I replaced it with will last a bit longer.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointment

Pros: It did what it was supposed to do for 1 year. It was on sale when I purchased it.

Cons: Worked for a little more than 1 year. Submitted for an RMA with Antec. I can see my case on their web site, but they do not appear to be in a hurry to assist. I am without the service of my computer while they are taking their time.

Other Thoughts: I am disappointed in Antec's customer service. I went with them because I thought they would offer better support than companies offering power supplies for less. I realize that power supplies can go bad, but I expected to be contacted with an RMA much sooner than this.

5 out of 5 eggsTypical Antec Quality

Pros: Runs very cool and quiet. Even stressed in Prime 95 there is hardly any heat coming out of this thing. And fully ramped up, it is the quietest fan in the case. So I guess if you're expecting this to exhaust a lot of air from your case, it's a "con", I suppose. But it would seem to be the unit of choice for a bottom-mounted case/psu setup. And oh, of course it's a Modular PSU, so it eliminates a whole lot of cable clutter in a small case.

Cons: None really. The non-modular cables and wrap are pretty "beefy" and a bit stiff to work with, but again, I suppose this is a good sign that they've used quality, heavy-gauge wire and shielding.

Other Thoughts: You basically do not have to use any of the modular cables in a "standard" build. Everything you need--and nothing more--is thoughtfully arranged in the 2 "fixed" cable bundles.
I have been an Antec fan for many years--they just seem to build quality, no hassle stuff.

4 out of 5 eggsExceptional Power Supply

Pros: *Exceptionally high quality power supply. Everything about it is well-built, sturdy, and heavy which for power supplies is a good thing. Light weight ones usually are made of inferior quality parts so don't let those light weight ones take the rest of your PC out with it. Even the cables are high quality and are properly sheathed, which means they won't unbraid on you over time. Also the smallest details like the connectors stand out. They pop in easily and out without pulling your peripheral connectors with it. You should with cheaper SATA power cables when they latch on so tight that when you remove it, it pulls the power connector with it. Not so with these ones. Never have to worry about that.
*Plus it comes with the perfect amount of permanent connectors that's enough to power a motherboard (comes with both a 4 and 6 pin), video card using two PCI power connectors, two SATA DVD drives, and two WD Caviar Black Hard Drives and if you need more, can easily attach more.

Cons: *It's pricey for a 650W, but the quality justifies the price.
*The included modular cables are kind of short so might have problems reaching in full towers.

No other Cons to speak of atm.

Other Thoughts: When purchsing power supplies and receiving it, the first thing you want to do is grab a high power flash light and shine it in through the vent holes. NO i'm not talking about opening it, just talking about shinning it through so you can see the insides. If all the capacitors have a visible or non-visible thermal paste/glue under them, great that means it's a high quality power supply and the company takes great pride and QC into it. But if you see white or brown goup (thermal paste) dripped all over the capacitors, then you know it's cheap and the company doesn't take great pride in it. Never encountered one of those yet with Antec, but seem to find those ones all the time with R0$ewil! and 0CZ.

4 out of 5 eggsFan makes a clicking noise

Pros: Gots enough power

Cons: fan makes clicking noise

Other Thoughts: I thought it was something shorting out but when I turn off the computer you can hear it start clicking slowly down to a halt. Might be something rubbing the fan but its no big deal for now. It runs cool so im not worried for now. I got the warranty to back me up.

5 out of 5 eggsIf I can't hear it, then I'm happy

Pros: It is modular, kinda.
It is so much quieter than my stupid, cheap, old power supply (this is for a new build though).
Nice big fan.
Cables come wrapped.
Looks nice, feels nice.

Cons: See other thoughts and decide if it's a con for you, it isn't really for me.

Other Thoughts: You know how I said kinda? Well it has a few attached cables: 24-pin atx, 8-pin CPU, 4-pin CPU, a SATA with 2 or 3 connectors. A 6 pin GFX, some molex and a floppy power. All attached, plus some extra you can plug in if you need them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU, Concerning Packaging

Pros: Works well in Antec 1200
Powers everything well and lots of good connectors

Cons: When I opened the package, the box had a huge puncture in it as if someone took something the size of a hammerhead and punched through it.

The external box itself was undamaged so there was no possibility of it being damaged during shipping.

Other Thoughts: The PSU works very well and highly recommend it; however newegg packaging lacks.
