The Antec's CP series is exclusively designed for Antec's 1200/P183/P193 cases and provide an excellent price-to-performance ratio. The Antec CP-850 power supply features 80 PLUS certification, saving energy and your money. It also generates less heat, and enhances cooling with a super-silent 120mm PWM fan. The Active PFC circuitry further reduces impact on the power infrastructure resulting in cooler, quieter, and more environmentally friendly power.

The Antec New CP-850’s universal input capability, together with ATX12V v2.3 and EPS12V V2.91 compliancy lets you use it in a variety of situations without worrying about input voltages. Dedicated power circuitry, industrial grade protection circuitry, and Active PFC deliver safe, reliable output. Four +12V output circuits provide maximum stable power for the CPU independently of the other peripherals.

The modular design makes cable management easier. The main power cables are permanently attached, while all of the peripheral cables all plug into the back of the PSU. The cables are all wrapped in mesh for a cleaner installation. Bring new power to your system with this remarkable supply!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PS

Pros: Does what it should. Semi modular would be more accurate. Fits my P183 perfectly.

Cons: None so far.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent power to cost ratio!

Pros: 4 stable 22-25amp 12 volt rails, semi-modular eliminates unneeded cable clutter. Massive capacitors and pfc coil with dual pcb's enables this puppy to pump the power out cool and quiet. Great noise and ripple suppression.
This a Great power supply for modern SandyBridge cpu's and the new 3rd generation IvyBridge cpu's, with plenty of power for 2 power hungry Video cards and multiple hard and optical drives.

Cons: Not a con in my book as I have P193v3 case, but it will not fit most cases without modification.

Other Thoughts: I don't agree with some reviewer's here taking eggs off for it being a non-standard size and others inability to plug the modular cables in the right way.
If you are having problems with which way the cables go in, it's simple...look at the plug, it has a retainer clip on on one side, just match it up with the indent on the power supply. If you can't grasp this simple step,(in my opinion) you have no business taking on the job of building your own computer.

5 out of 5 eggsLots of Power

Pros: My son works with graphics design. I bought this power supply intending to upgrade his computer at a later date to SLI. I've had good success with Antec products and this looked to have plenty of power on the 12V leads for a future SLI upgrade. Due to problems with a new Intel motherboard I haven't been able to use this much yet.

Cons: I completely overlooked the fact that this power supply is much larger than most and will apparently only fit in one of three Antec cases. (My fault as Newegg mentioned this in the Overview page.)

Other Thoughts: Found it would cost me nearly $40 in restocking and postage to RMA the power supply. So eventually decided to buy a $160 Antec case instead. I would have preferred using the case I originally bought, but will now have to save that for some other purpose.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat.

Pros: Great product
Plenty of power.
Runs cool and quiet.

Cons: Not truly fully modular but still works great.
Big. but it fits like a glove in an Antec 1200.

Other Thoughts: There's some people on here that complain about it not fitting... well.. it's designed specifically for 3 specific cases.. if you don't have one of Antec's 1200/P183/P193 cases, then don't get it, 'nuff said.

As for the other rainman who "plugged things in backward", well.. that's truly sad, this was used in one of my first builds and it's pretty obvious which way they go, I mean obvious as in it only goes in one way, I mean only goes in one way by you can't possibly connect them backward short of powerflexing that bad boy in there. In short, if you own one of the 1200/P183/P193 cases get this. And if you have trouble putting the triangle in the triangle shaped hole. or the square in the square shaped hole... have someone else connect your power supply.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful and Quiet

Pros: Very powerful and quiet. I replaced my whining old power supply with this unit and have not run into issues yet.

Cons: I use an older case, and I had to hack-saw some space as well as snip a bit.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: Modular. Fits into my specific Antec case (beware -- does not fit most non-Antec cases). Runs pretty cool.

Cons: None. Still kicking after almost a yaer

Other Thoughts: Some parts are not modular. Leads to a few extra wires stashed at the bottom of my case.
