4 out of 5 eggsgood but occassional flaw

Pros: good power, quiet, good quality

Cons: the plastic airflow bar came loose inside. I have to do a build and I don't have time to return it so I had to break the warranty seal and stuck it back where it belonged. Gotta keep an eye on this antec

5 out of 5 eggsRunning strong for 2 years now

Pros: Quiet, solid.

Cons: The main braided power cord juts into the motherboard near the memory modules of my FM1 motherboard, but I was able to get it to curve away a bit. Needs a real sine wave UPS for battery backup.

Other Thoughts: This has been in my work desktop for 2 years now. I have it powering a A6-3500 with a Gigabyte FM1 mobo, Corsair Force SSD, 1 TB HDD, DVD-RW, Radeon HD5450 add-on card with no issues. It actually showed a few watts less at the wall (Kill-a-Watt) than the cheap ATX power supply that came with my budget case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Green Supply

Pros: Solid power supply. Haven't had any issues yet. Nice green color too.

Cons: Isn't completely silent? Price a bit high, but rebates make it worth it.

5 out of 5 eggsFollow Up

Pros: First rate support

Cons: Cooked the motherboard

Other Thoughts: I wanted to to follow up on my previous review because I got really excellent support from Antec. I filled out the online warranty form and within an hour I was contacted by email. Since I'm nearby, the support rep offered that I could come by and pick up a replacement. I did that today and it was completely hassle free. So while I'm not happy the supply failed, (seems to have cooked the motherboard on the way out) I am 100% satisfied with their support.

1 out of 5 eggsDead in 4 months

Pros: Fine while it worked

Cons: Not durable

Other Thoughts: Bought to replace another Antec supply that went bad. This is in a very modest system, power cycled about a once a week for Windows update, so about as benign a load as you can imagine. At this point this I've pretty much sworn off Antec hardware.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello Chris,

We apologize you had this experience with our PSU. Our power supplies are built with high quality parts with loads of industrial-grade circuitry and will provide stable operation.

If you could, please contact our technical support @ 1-800-222-6832, we'd be happy to further assist you on this matter.

Thank you,

Justin Ocbina
