2 out of 5 eggsBought 8/2011, died 8/2014

Pros: It worked for a few years.

Cons: I've bought 5 Antec Sonata cases so far. The Antec power supplies that I got with them all failed within 1-2 years.

I bought this as a replacement for one of those failed supplies. 3 years and it's dead.

A "Green" powersupply is one that lasts. It's not green in any sense of the term to be throwing these things away after only three years of use.

Other Thoughts: I still love the Antec cases, excellent quality, roomy, great to work with. Their power supplies are off my list though. I replaced this one with an older Seasonic unit that is still chugging along just fine.

5 out of 5 eggsStill going...

Pros: Has been working in this case for 6 1/2 years (though all other parts other than it and the case have changed).
Nary a hiccup.

Cons: I'm certain this declaration of its reliability will send it crashing.
It doesn't have the cable management features of the newer PSUs.

Other Thoughts: I'm not going to get another case and PSU until this bad boy stops meeting my needs. That's good and bad. The Antec Sonata III was a nice, mid-range case in 2007, but there have been a lot of advances in case manufacture that I'd like to look into.
First-world problem...

5 out of 5 eggsOut Of Stock?

Pros: This PS has benn working in this PC for 2.5 years.
Absolutely no problems.
Quiet,stable.

Cons: Can't get another. Now.

Other Thoughts: Needed a PS for a new build. Wanted this one but I can't get it.
Now watch...I put in another good review on it. It'll probably quit today.

5 out of 5 eggsWhy did you making/selling this PSU?

Pros: 1st one worked fine for me. Not a power user; just need a computer PSU that works. Still working fine after 3 years. Bought this second one as backup for me or someone else or next build. Used it to replace psu on an Emachine and had no problems knock on wood.

Cons: Can't get no more! I want a decent traditional style PSU (500W+) that I can use in older cases. Why would Antec/you stop making/selling something that actually works? I've seen you sale plenty of junk from the looks of reviews on everything (MB's to PSU's) and keep on selling it. Maybe just to get rid of it!

1 out of 5 eggsShorts

Pros: When it works it works well.

Cons: This seems to have a short in the wiring for the 4 pin molex connectors. When the wires are moved the power supply goes dead and restarts. I have only had this product for 3 months and it is developing problems.

Manufacturer Response:

Hi,

Please contact us at VIP@antec.com and we'll get you a replacement under warranty. Sorry about this malfunction but we'll get this squared away promptly for you. Thank you.

Pros: I use this PSU in my gaming rig and have had no issues.

There's plenty of plugs for all of my internal devices.

Cons: None!

5 out of 5 eggsStill working

Pros: Using it in my HTPC as a 24/7/366 machine. I've only had to shut this computer down a few times during updates/drivers/bios flashes, otherwise it stays running all the time. This computer acts as my home server moreso than HTPC and the PSU is working flawlessly.

Main pros:
-Quiet!
-Reliable (so far, 59 days straight powered on 24/7 @ time of this review)
-Low heat output
-Fits like a glove in the Antec 300 case. Excess cables tucked behind case niecly.

Price was right. Sad to see Newegg no longer is stocking this.

DOES NOT COME WITH POWER CORD...this is a "pro" for me, since I have a dozen of these un-used cords laying around the house anyway. Keeps initial cost down too.

Cons: DOES NOT COME WITH POWER CORD. Not a con for me, but could be for someone else.

Why dark green color? I get the whole EarthWatts idea but how many PC cases are dark green?

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs quiet and cool. I got this to run a geforce gtx 550ti and its more than adequate. Easy to install.

Cons: Not really a con, so I didn't subtract an egg, but they don't provide a way to bundle cables and mine are sorta just stuffed messily in the case. Not a big deal, but it'd be nice if they provided a way to corral all those extra cables.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Product

Pros: Solid power, good price.. Cords are long enough to accommodate bottom or top mount psu.

Cons: Cords are loose, not wrapped; this is not a big deal personally, but cheaper power supplies have wrapped cords so it seems like this could be done on this psu.
