3 out of 5 eggsAntec VP450 Power Supply

Pros: No issues so far, good fit, quiet fan, does what it should.

Keep in mind it has a 6-pin pcie connector, not 8. Be mindful on what you plan on using for graphic cards if you dont want to have to use adaptors

Cons: Rebate program is a joke, don't count on it as your purchase deciding factor.

Other Thoughts: Still a good purchase for a micro ATX build, even without the rebate

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The power supply in the old (325 Celeron) minitower that I replaced a refurbished computer with, would not work with the Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 I purchased from Newegg. This power supply was purchased to fit that need. Computer seldom gets turned off, and everything works fine.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Review late due to move.

4 out of 5 eggsA solid PSU

Pros: Great PSU for the sale price I got it on. Solid performance and not too loud.

Cons: I wouldn't pay the $50 full price for this.

Other Thoughts: A few reviews complained about the top exhaust. Not sure what cases they had an issue with but I've used it in both top and bottom mounted cases without any problems whatsoever.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid and stable

Pros: Quietly provides clean and quiet power. Cables are long enough to reach everything in a mid-tower case.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The top exhaust configuration of this PSU make it less than desirable for my case, but as it's running in a low-power, low-usage server, it has not yet heated up beyond acceptable ranges.

3 out of 5 eggsAntec Rebate Trap

Pros: Good power supply

Cons: Antec carefully restricts their rebates in terms of purchase, submission and resubmission. Usually from a few days to 21 days. Denial of first submission appears standard. Leaving little time to read denial and respond within a short period. This effort to trick customers into the purchase and flimflam them out of the rebate is inexcusable. No more antec rebates for this techy. ...fool me once...

5 out of 5 eggsDoes everything for its level you can ask it to!

Pros: Two 12-Volt Rails and the ability to be used with 4-pin ATX or 8-pin ETX MBs. Also price (though I got this elsewhere well before rebates were offered).

Cons: Not really a con given the price, but sleeved wiring would be nice (I knew going in except for the 20 + 4-pin main power supply this was the case).

Other Thoughts: Originally got this in the summer of 2014 for a Socket FM2+ build and it has worked flawlessly since then even under (until recently) near-constant use. That Build:

This power supply
ANTEC VSK 4000-E Case with 120MM rear fan
Crucial MX 128GB Solid State Drive
32GB DDR3 RAM (originally Corsair Vengance 1600 MHz, now Kingston HyperX Fury 1866 MHz)
MSI A88XM-E45 Micro-ATX MB
AMD A-10 Quad Core Processor (originally 6800K, now 7700K)
Lite-ON DVD-RW Drive
CoolerMaster 120MM Fan for front
Rosewill 90MM PCI Slot Case Cooler
Windows 8.1 64-Bit

Bought another in May and that is currently in an Intel build as follows:

This Power Supply
Thermaltake Versa H25 Computer Case with rear fan
GIGABYTE GA B85-M-DS3H-A Micro-ATX MB (usually $65, got it for $50 before a rebate on Newegg)
Intel Pentium G3250 Processor at 3.2 GHz Dual-Core
Four Rosewill 120MM Case Fans
Samsung DVD-RW Drive
32GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600 MHz RAM
Eluktronics 256 GB SSD (not sold on Newegg, got it on the Eluktronics site)
WD Blue 1TB HDD
Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit (upgraded to Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit)
PowerColor AMD Raedon R7 250X 2GB Video Card (which after rebate I got on Newegg for $64 including shipping on a special at the time).

2 out of 5 eggsAntec VP450

Pros: Worked great for about 3 years. Quiet. Heavy-Duty Protection Circuitry

Cons: Low respond times (under 200ms) when using a psu tester. But that was after 3 years.

Other Thoughts: This the first PSU that started to fail on me compared to the 6 other ones I bought in the past. Now trying to get this replaced is huge pain and still has not been resolve. Thanks to newegg customer support for stepping in and giving the information to that what was needed for service. So after that I delayed on pursuing a resolution cause the service plan was awful. I dealt with PSU problems until I could not take it anymore. So I put a claim into service waited a 1 week thinking ok, it is waiting in process. Well come to find out at the 2 weeks later AIG contacted me and says they will be helping you with this matter ok, and asked him about status and I was supposed to send in the product which I never got a email or was never told to do that in the first place. So many hoops! I didn't want to wait. I ended buying another PSU to replace. Since they will be sending me a prepaid instead of replacement. Awesome/Not! Now it is sitting in the box which I am debating because I already spent the money and fixed the issue.

Pros: Good Power Supply works well

Cons: None on the power supply

Other Thoughts: Bought this when there was a MIR offer. You think I ever got that NOPE down to two eggs for that.
