5 out of 5 eggsRuns strong Runs quiet

Pros: Antec is known for high quality power supplies. They do not disappoint with the EAP-650. This power supply is quiet and cool. If you need a power supply... get this one.

Cons: I've not noticed any at all.

Other Thoughts: Power is important in a computer... don't skimp here.

1 out of 5 eggsNot What They Used To Be

Pros: Nice Box, Contained Mounting screws

Cons: Died after two months!

Other Thoughts: NewEgg Rocks, but I can't say the same of Antec. Powersupply died just past the 60 day return limit for NewEgg. I bought this on sale, but after paying return shipping to Antec have now spent more than the full price, and Antec only replaces with refurbished units, so I paid full price for someone else's problem. Antec used to make quality products but from complaints I've read elsewhere that is no longer the case. Antec has had my power supply for well over a week, and their website states they take care of things in 48 to 72 hours, RUBISH. Obviously cutting costs and corperate greed have taken over at Antec. There are still quality products out there, do your research and avoid Antec at all costs.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic power supply

Pros: Silent operation. With fan spinning, I can not hear a sound from it. Literally, there is no sound. I wasn't expecting silent operation. Also, It provides power as expected, fits the case as expected, etc. Adequate cables, connectors and lengths for my case.

Cons: There isn't a model with detachable cables. I knew this when I bought it, but I've been spoiled over the years with detachable cables which I find to be nice.

Cable length of the 4+4 pin motherboard connector could be an issue for some cases. I used a Thermaltake Dokker case without any issues, but the 4+4 cable was at exactly its length with no slack.

Other Thoughts: I expect I will buy more of these and definitely recommend them to friends. It will be my first choice for future builds. Watch the cable length would be my only warning.

5 out of 5 eggsGood and quiet

Pros: Great rails, quiet, efficient.

Cons: With certain power cables, even the slightest bump will cause the AC cable to come out or lose contact. The supplied one works great. I wish this thing was modular.

Other Thoughts: Running a 24/7 NAS/Server w/ 4x1.5TBs, HD6870 (for ATI Stream SDK lol), Phenom II x6 1045T, 2x4GB RAM

4 out of 5 eggsWorth the Money and the Hassle!

Pros: * A Trusted Brand
* 80 Plus Platinum!
* Cable Sleeveing
* 90 Degree Angle connectors for SATA connectors

Cons: I only had 2 issues with this power supply, one of which was serious enough to knock off an egg:

1. The 4+4 Pin Connector is SHORT as noted here by other reviewers, this would not be a problem if your PSU was top mounted as it doesn't have far to travel. However if you have a bottom mounted PSU get ready to get creative with your cabling.

A few years ago I would have probably let the above slide as bottom mounted PSU's weren't as common as they are today. However this is 2012 and Bottom mounted PSU's are 'in' and therefore you lose an egg. An extra couple of inches would have gone a long way in keeping my cable management tidy.

2. I was a little disappointed that at this price point they could not offer a partially modular solution. However I was well aware of the fact before purchase so no eggs lost here. On the plus side fully sleeved cables and 80+ Platinum at this price more than make up for the loss of modular connectors.

Other Thoughts: This is my second Antec EathWatts PSU purchase, to be honest I usually buy Seasonic when I can (although IIRC Antec "used similar techniques").

I have been impressed that Antec has been able to offer a quality PSU at this price point, and would recommend to any of my friends to spring a little more.

5 out of 5 eggspowered up, cool down

Pros: - Easy to install
- 650w based on continues power (not surge power)
- Plenty of connecters to modern devices
- Light weight
- Extremely quiet
- Platinum Efficiency rating
- SLI Ready
- Great value for the money (less expensive then some Gold rated PSU)

Cons: I was looking to stay under $100 for a PSU, but this was well worth the extra $$. You get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: I have used Antec in all my builds and I never been disappointed and this is no exception. I like that the numbers on the box are based on continues power unlike other that show only surge power. This PSU could probably outperform other 750w+ PSU. Don't be fooled by advertisement! Do the math yourself and see the difference!

Also, this is so quiet when it runs, and it still manages to keep my tower perfectly cool.

5 out of 5 eggsPower

Pros: Has all the connectors you need to put together a modern powerful computer. Fits in case nicely. Fans are great. Super quiet. Plenty of power.

Cons: Not modular, but you knew that. Still, why do they keep including floppy power connectors and such? Just include an adapter for the two people who have floppy drives.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great piece of equipment; the fan is quiet yet moves large quantities of air. I'm using this in a home server, I'm already seeing an improvement in power consumption and heat output verses my old PSU.

Cons: None. The equipment performs as promised.

Other Thoughts: I'd recommend this to those in the market for a new PSU.
