Pros: Provides constant supply of power. High quality parts. Plenty of room for adding various components. Long warranty (you will need it)
Cons: would die too quickly and bad reputation on the web as result
Other Thoughts: Unfortunately the unit is inconsistent in delivery. I started having to unplug ever4ything and rest the entire computer to get it to work. It finally died on me and refused to come back on. I would hear a click and power came on for a second and would cut off again. This is probably the last Antec PSU I will ever buy as my experience with their PSU has been negative over the past few years. I will have to start the return process and see if I can get it replaced. I will keep you updated
Manufacturer Response:
Hi NSK,
We're sorry about the issue you're having and will certainly get you a replacement under warranty. We understand your frustration from this experience. If you have future concerns or questions, don't hesitate to contact us.

Rating: 5/5Efficiency is an understatement!
Pros: Premium cable sleeves all black with this black power supply make it a perfect low profile high power producing efficient hardware being fully modular cable management is a breeze and helps with not needing extra cables to hide when trying to improve cooling and overall appearance of a running computer.
Cons: none but price but for a future proof supply with a 7yr warrenty that if it craps out from natural ware in tare they will replace for free...
Other Thoughts: Don't let price or people tell you other wise this power supply when thinking about long term 7 yrs for the warrenty is just enough time to finally move on to a new one which in 7years should be much better.

Cons: The cables are pretty stiff and the plastic connectors are sharp.
Other Thoughts: I used my heat gun on low to loosen up the cables. I have no other problems with this PSU. If the cables weren't so stiff and the connectors so sharp I would have given it 5 eggs. Otherwise it is an awesome PSU.

Pros: Had lots of shine, like any other polished tu rd.
Cons: Dead on arrival. Great quality control Antec, especially when its your best. Your best failed and after years of Antec... Im getting an Enermax. A bench test for a 270 dollar power supply isnt asking much. Installed it in another computer...same results...lots of wasted time and now shipping money.
Other Thoughts: This really scre wed me up Antec. Now I boycott you for chinese quality. You should be horse whipped.

Rating: 2/5Got WAY to Excited for this.
Pros: 1000W, "Fully" Modular, quad 12v rails, I can not hear the fan.
Cons: First off, the documentation that comes with this and on the cables them selfs is HORRIBLE!! I would have loved to have more then just a small picture of each cable.(please take note antec) Also be aware that the 24pin mobo connector takes the mother board slot on the PSU and then one other slot, why not make this all one connector? Cables are stupidly Stiff and made it a PITA to hook up, along with the 8pin cpu cable being a little short I had many words for antec during the install, 4 more inches would be awesome.
Other Thoughts: I would really rate this a 2.5 egg but went with the lower egg to make sure people would take a look at this review with there being so few. Would bump an egg for more documentation, for cables that were not stiff enough to play baseball with, and for the CPU/mobo connectors be a bit longer.
Manufacturer Response:
Hi,
We apologize that the HCP-1000 did not meet your expectations. Some cables may be stiff out of the box but with a little flexing, they become easier to manage. Please email us at VIP@antec.com and we can go through all the concerns you currently have with this PSU and we'll address them for you promptly. Thank you.

Cons: NONE
Other Thoughts: NEWEGG WAS OUT OF STOCK AND STILL IS. THIS IS A MUST BUY POWER SUPPLY FOR THE GAMERS. BUILT BY DELTA ELECTRONICS DESIGN WITH EVERY ELECTRONIC PROTECTION KNOWN TO DATE! THIS ANTEC HCP1000 IS EXTREMELY STABLE & RUNS COOL AS A CUCUMBER!

Rating: 5/5"True Power"
Pros: A 1000 Watt continuous power PSU should be enough for many years to come.
Industrial grade Protections keep your expensive parts from frying.
4 +12v Rails allowed me to give both video cards their own rail, my CPU its own rail, and my ODD/HDD/Fans their own rail.
7 Year warranty
All capacitors are rated for 105*C for long life.
Cons: Feels light to me compared to my Seasonic 860W Platinum
No Sticker
Other Thoughts: Originally bought the Seasonic 860W Platinum for my enthusiast build. My computer consists of the following parts:
CPU - Intel Core i7 3930k
RAM - Mushkin Redline Quad Channel 16GB 1866Mhz
Mobo - ASUS - Rampage Formula IV
Video Cards - ASUS HD 7970 Top Edition (x2 in Crossfire)
Boot Drive - Mushkin Chronos 120 GB SSD (x2 in a RAID 0)
Storage drive - Seagate Momentous XT 2TB 7200RPM
ODD 1 - Plextor DVD RW
ODD 2 - Plextor BR-RW
PSU - Antec 1000 Watt HCP Platinum
This power suply draws about 100 Watts less from the wall than my Seasonic 860 Platinum, which would make hard drives in my raid disappear and ODDs disappear. Bought this Antech and running bonic, I'm only drawing 678 Watts according to my Kill A WATT meter. Very high quality and works perfectly out of the box. I have bought 7 Seasonic Power supplies, this one being my first antec one, and I would have to say i was impressed. Runs my Rig with out any hick-ups and I cant hear the fan over the
