1 out of 5 eggsIsn't Antec quality?

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Has an LED. Looks cool.

Cons: Bought Antec because I thought it was quality. Item was DOA. Plugged in, turned on (fans seemed very subdued for a 750V supply), then emitted very high pitch whine. Called Antec, they said if noise was coming from PSU that it was probably a bad capacitor. Lo and behold noise from PSU. They were not too concerned. If this is any indication of how things work these days at New Egg, I am going to seriously reconsider using them for future orders. Faaaaaaaar too many RMA's that people write about New Egg suppliers.

Other Thoughts: New Egg has offered to replace. Will see if the second power supply lives up to it's name.

4 out of 5 eggsFailure After a Year

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: - Very stable power output even when plugged into a DC to AC Inverter
- Excellent looking LED underglow
- Quiet
- Easily user serviceable

Cons: - Fan is low quality and will separate from the bearing over time
- 12v rail 2 cannot handle a GPU

Other Thoughts: I loved this power supply and really wanted to save it. The fan died, and instead of waiting for a return, I figured I'd replace it myself. After hooking everything back up, I put the GPU on Rail 2 seeing I had things on Rail 1. Bad mistake. GPU wouldn't spin up and after a few minutes, power supply failed. Voided the warranty fixing the fan. I should've read more on the rails. But before this episode, the computer was ran in a semi truck, overclocked i7 4790K to 4.7GHZ, and a XFX Radeon HD 290X 8gb edition overclocked as well, running on dirty power from a large power inverter. Never had power related hiccups even with the sensitive overclocking. And the power supply failure didn't take out any components so good fail safing.

2 out of 5 eggsStopped working after 1 year

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Worked great. Lots of long cables with all the connectors you need.

Cons: Nothing until it just stopped working. I ordered it on Feb 2/11/15 and it stopped working today, 2/9/15. No smells, no pops or anything. I turned it off last night and this morning nothing. I tried the paperclip trick and no fan spin at all. So this thing just stopped working randomly.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's ANTEC Baby..!! Enough Said..!!

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: A must have for any real gamer; however, if you are a mediocre gamer, look for something else cheaper that will probably ruin your components within months of serious gaming..!!

Cons: Can't think of any, really..!

Other Thoughts: Just buy it..!! I'll see you online... Bring your "A" Game...!!

2 out of 5 eggsCustomer service needs work

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Device itself seems to work fine.

Cons: Low rating stems from Antec denying my rebate claim. Advertised that rebate claims would be accepted if postmarked by 11/4. On that day I ran it through a postage meter and then dropped it at the post office. It is certainly possible that I missed the "drop off time" that day, but I would expect the company to honor their offer at that point. Instead, my claim was denied. I heard back from customer service initially after inquiring, but after promising to look into it and obtain a copy of the rebate, I heard nothing else. I would recommend choosing a manufacturer that offers better customer service; I know I will in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent PSU

This review is from: Antec HCG M HCG-750M 750W ATX12V SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: -Top notch design
- Very stable and can hold very well high loads
- Modular
-Handless an SLI topology running overclocked without any coughing.

Cons: - it's not Platinum. But is this a real con? it doesn't feel that way.
- nothing so far that I can talk about.

Other Thoughts: I own not one Antec PSU in my builds, but many. So far I can say I never had any one failing.
I had to pick the brains of the customer support in couple instances and I can say that I was pleasantly surprise of the experience. If you are not convinced yet of their quality check other products (especially their cases) and you will become a fan.
