4 out of 5 eggsType is listed incorrectly.

Pros: After 5yrs in an area with many summer electrical storms it finally failed. Overall that's not bad.

Cons: Bought a Seagate tfx12v unit to replace it and this is were the trouble begins. This in win says it's a tfx12v, but in fact it is not. It's physical dimensions are 7.1 in x 3.1 in x 1.8 in and after researching every available tfx12v unit on this site, not one is narrow enough (1.8in) to fit as they are all about 3in. So I'm stuck with a restocking fee to return the great seagate unit. As best as I can tell, this matches the mini ITX type but the mounting holes are in different locations.

3 out of 5 eggsBlew Out After 18 Months

Pros: Good Price. Company honored warranty and replace the unit after it failed. Rec'd new unit and it has been working fine so far.

Cons: RMA Turnaround took more than 2 weeks.

Other Thoughts: Power supplies can be finicky. Make sure you buy one with a three year warranty. In Win definitely came through with the warranty replacement so I would buy from them again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Works well for very small micro cases. The small fan should keep it cool enough to last awhile.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: Trying to find a PSU that last more that 30 days has been quite a challenging task , and one of this size. I had to rebuild a few of these very small micro units and when the PSU goes bad It fried everything. So all I can do is wait and see If this unit does the same.

5 out of 5 eggsPERFECT!

Pros: I needed a small but deep PS for a case project and this filled the bill perfectly. It may be a bit pricey for the power but it fits a niche because there are users out there who need a non standard PS for their case. Supply and demand I guess.

It's got good and stable voltages and it's very quiet.

Cons: None really.

Other Thoughts: The cables are a little short but the PS is not designed for a large case so unless you intend on using it in some odd way the cables will be more than long enough.

I'm using this in a home theater mod box with a Gigabyte AMD mATX 740 board with a 5050e 45W dual core, 2x2g G-Skill DDR2-800, a RADEON 3450 silent card, a notebook drive, and one optical drive all on Vista Home Premium with no issues. FYI the power usage if 49W idle.

Check out the mfr's specs and be sure it will fit your needs before making the jump.

1 out of 5 eggsNot a true TFX form

Pros: None

Cons: This is not a TFX (3.625" x 2.5") form factor. If you look carefully at the picture, the three hole mount is not there. Ordered this in good faith that it was TFX12V as described. This is a TFX Micro (3.1" x 1.8"). Don't make the same mistake I did.

Other Thoughts: I would be happy with the smaller form factor if the manufacturer simply included a full size back plate with the standard three-hole TFX mount to claim the TFX title.

4 out of 5 eggsvery good psu

Pros: i got this PSU for a ShuttleX the stupid Shuttle site sells 240Watt for 89.99 and if you buy this one you save alot and get more bang it dual rails and great for a high performance mini PC

Cons: to fit it in to the shuttle case you need a razor and pliers to cut a small part of the back off so the PUS can rest flat

Other Thoughts: very well built no problems so far dont spent a cent on the shuttles site get your stuff from newegg

4 out of 5 eggsGood little PSU

Pros: Good little power supply. Had to replace a power supply from another manufacture and this only one on newegg that would fit.

Cons: I wish the fan on the power supply was bigger.

4 out of 5 eggsOk, it's not so loud anymore

Pros: Cheaper than other small form factor power supplies

Cons: Started out as loud but eventually quieted down

Other Thoughts: In the interest of fairness, I wanted to update my review, but since newegg doesn't allow editing reviews, I just posted a new one. My power supply was very loud when I first installed it, but after using it for a weeks it is now much quieter. I don't know why it started out as loud but now I am quite satisfied with my power supply.

3 out of 5 eggsYes, it's loud

Pros: Does what it's supposed to.

Cons: It's LOUD!!

Other Thoughts: I got this to upgrade the weak power supply in my HP Pavilion Slimline. Now my machine can support a higher-end video card, but what once was an ultra-quiet home theater PC is now as loud as a jet engine. This power supply is definitely the loudest thing in the room. It may not be noticeable to most people, but since the machine is on my desk just a few inches away from me, the constant humming noise is totally driving me crazy.
