The ZALMAN 850-HP Plus is a high-end power supply designed for advanced users who demand high quality, highly efficient power for their energy-hungry systems. It combines 850 watts of stable and quiet power, four independent +12V rails with 80 PLUS Silver efficiency. Factor in the dual heatpipes, ultra-quiet 140mm fan, modularized cable design and 3-way SLI capability, the 850-HP Plus blasts ahead of the competition. The Two-Forward Switching Design minimizes switching loss and internal heat, which is complete with Japanese-made capacitors, gold-plated terminals & 16AWG wires and industrial grade protection including OVP, OCP, SCP, UVP, and OTP to ensure safe, reliable and stable continuous operation.

80 PLUS Silver Certified The 80 PLUS Silver certified power supply provides high power efficiency at over 85% at any load between 20% and 100%, saving your money on your electrical bill, reducing heat in your computer's system and prolonging its life.
Less Than 1W Standby Power Consumption The energy efficient Green IC circuitry consumes much less standby power (less than 1W) compared to other PSU’s without this feature.
Four +12V DC Outputs Four independent +12V outputs provide a stable power supply to major PC components.

Cons: The only things i dont like are the Size but as stated by another that comes with the power and it does make a squeel noise when powering down but ive never had any problems with it or it hurting anything else. sonixmon 11/22/2012 10:17:16 AM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 5/5	Rating: 1/5Avoid this product Pros: Quite and modular Cons: Voltage is all over the place, causing system instability, blue screens etc. It got to the point where my system would not even power on and I would have to unplug and replug AC power 2-3 times. Finally the MB would come out of standby mode. I thought the issue was my MB but thankfully tested with another PS and that was the problem. Other Thoughts: When I originally purchased I talked to support about the voltage drifting and a squeling noise. They said it was normal and if I wanted I could pay to ship it to them and wait for repair. Hard to get ahold of support or get a response. Would not recommend any of their models! Cons: The unit lasted less than 3 months before it died with no notice. The 12V rails just ceased operation while the 5V continued. I have to pay the shipping to return defective product to the manufacturer as though it was my fault that their products are defective. Other Thoughts: Fortunately the failure didn't take out my brand new Asus P8P67MB and I-7 CPU as others have found happens. CoffeeandTV 1/23/2011 11:34:14 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 2/5	Rating: 4/5Great deal at $100, but QC is lacking Pros: Lots of power with 80+ cert and a 3 year warranty. Modular cables are always a plus. Very quiet. (As long as nothing blocks the fan) Cons: Immediately after installing, I noticed an internal zip-tie was positioned poorly and rubbing against the fan. It was a quick and easy fix, but I'm surprised it made it out of the factory with such a blatantly noticeable and silly flaw. The length, but that just comes with the power. Other Thoughts: I'll be running this against my 2 Corsair TX-series PSUs over the next few years and I'm curious to see how they stack up. Did you find this review helpful?
