1 out of 5 eggsBuckles every few minutes.

Pros: It's cheap, and shiny. Those are really the only pros I can think of.

Cons: Every 4-5 minutes it will turn off and back on really fast. This makes transferring files over 100MB near impossible. I got it because I needed to recover an old hard drive, but only have a laptop. But I can't run the recovery program because it turns itself off and back on a few minutes into it. I've tried other hard drives and the same issue occurs, so it isn't an issue with the hard drive thats in it. Wasted my money because now I need to get another External hard drive case and hope that one isn't as bad as this one. I used to think, oh a case is a case is a case is a case, but NO, sometimes it's better to go with something with a bit better quality, because something this cheap will not let you get the job done.

Other Thoughts: Going to be used as a secret storage compartment from here on out, because it doesn't work as intended. But I don't think anyone would expect to take it apart and look inside.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Quiet
Nice looking Case
User Friendly
Comes with everything to get you up and running in Minutes
Cool Touch

Cons: No Fan

Other Thoughts: I personally don't see all the negative comments about this case. I have had it for almost a week and it works just fine for me. A HD has to be put in @ an angle but does go in. It screws down just fine. It started up with no problems. It's very quiet... I had to touch it to make sure it was still running ( that's how quiet it is).It does have a light to indicate that it is running.

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible. Terrible. Terrible.

Pros: Shiny

Cons: -Doesn't work. Windows recognizes it for a moment, then clicks and spins out. Does this in loop. Tried 4 different hard drives.

-Oh, and it RUINED every hard drive I put in it. They all just click and are not recognized in BIOS. Thanks a lot for that one.

Other Thoughts: How does this company have the audacity to produce and sell such a poorly made product?

4 out of 5 eggsWrong Power Adapter

Pros: Third one, no issues with others. WD Green never heats up inside. Works good for stacking.

Cons: Purchased mainly for the 6 pin power adapter. It has a standard single barrel adapter like most of the new ones. THE PICTURE IS WRONG as of 02/07/13.

Other Thoughts: Still a great deal for the price.

1 out of 5 eggsworked once

Pros: super cheap, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut

Cons: worked once, did not work ever again, it just keeps making the hard drive click and click and click and click and, you get the idea.

Other Thoughts: you get what you pay for when it comes to enclosures, spend a little more and learn from my cautionary tale.

1 out of 5 eggsDONT buy this item!!

Pros: NONE

Cons: Set up the hard drive and then it went into a mount/un-mount cycle and froze my computer twice. I also tested two other hard drives in the unit with the same results. Went to a local retailer and bought a different type of enclosure and had no further issues.

Other Thoughts: It was purchased as a fast way to retrieve important data from the hard drive after the computer power supply and mother board failed.

1 out of 5 eggsBought two units, both defective

Pros: Nice looking

Cons: Don't work

Other Thoughts: Bought two of them. Both lose their connection to the host PC after a short time. Useless.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Enclosure

Pros: Shiny!!

Cons: The holes in the chassis are MISS_DRILLED !
The holes do not allow the drive to connect to the SATA connector Circuit Board.
The holes are off 1/8th of an inch, and if the screws are installed there the drive won't connect to the SATA Board.

1 out of 5 eggsPower failure?

Pros: Good design, easy to assemble

Cons: Power goes off intermittently, causing it to eject. Can't back up for more than 2 minutes before it shuts off :(

1 out of 5 eggsNOT AS ADVERTISED

Pros: Cheap

Cons: This device is pictured with a two-part power supply unit, but the actual unit had the wall-wart style.

Other Thoughts: Cheap and cheesy
