1 out of 5 eggsPoor quality switch at a premium price.

Pros: Small footprint, hotkey switching, powered by the USB bus rather than a dedicated power supply.

Cons: Poor design, inferior components, simply doesn't work.

Other Thoughts: I am running two Windows XP machines, and wanted to be able to use my Dell widescreen LCD display, wired Microsoft Keyboard 600 and Logitech M-U0007 mouse on both computers. This switch looked like it would fit the bill...it was a bit on the pricey side compared to other similar designs, but the reviews on it were good, so I decided to take a chance. After setting up the switch and connecting everything, the only element of my setup that worked correctly was the USB keybooard, and even that was not correctly recognized by Windows XP. Every mouse I plugged into it simply went crazy...completely unusable...and changing the mouse settings in Windows had no effect. Also, it made my display look like total garbage at its native 1680x1050 resolution. So much so that I was unable to sit at the computer for more than a half hour or so before my eyes started to hurt. I would strongly advise against this switch. Will be trading for an IO Gear.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little unit

Pros: Does what it claims and does it well. You can switch with the unit mounted switch or by keyboard hotkeys. Standard stuff but in such a small and inexpensive unit is amazing. Highly recommend if you only need to switch between 2 boxes. Audio feature is nice too.

Cons: Doesn't support DVI, but of course you know that going in. Have to switch video with your monitor's input options.

Other Thoughts: Since I don't use the VGA plugs because I go DVI-D into my monitor I don't need the VGA cords but they are integrated as a wire "Bundle" with the unit. That leaves a lot of excess unused wire to contend with. Not a big deal but I suppose the integrated wiring is what helps make this inexpensive.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Switch, would prefer all cables in back

Pros: This worked on a pair of Dell 2950 servers with no issues whatsoever.

Cons: KVM cables exit the front where the actual LED lights and buttons are. Causes a slightly awkward cable layout when placing near the servers.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking as Advertised

Pros: Does everything it's supposed to. Quick switching.

Cons: Wish there were a DVI option.
