Pros: Works as posted it would.

Cons: Hard drive needed to be formatted ..

Other Thoughts: As stated in as a con, the drive needs to be formatted in order to be seen in the sata external dock ...

i was use to being able to format from the external drive system once drivers were installed to see the external usb storage .. That did not happen ..

i had to format the drive, by installing to my system as an internal drive first .. a quick format did the trick ..

i than installed the sata drive into the USB 3.0 WiFi Hard Drive Dock firmly.

Everything works as stated .. follow instructions to setup WiFi and don't forget to add admin to it ..

The rest is history ..

Pros: Jumping on one of these as my Pal has one and after much experimenting found that it is new tech and new ways for transferring data!

Cons: For the above reviewer you cannot change any of the settings without an iOS or Android device ...also the USB3.0 and WiFi can not connect simutanously :(

Pros: The drive was easy to setup. Instructions were simple and well presented. Set up as USB 3 it worked fine. I was not able to test speed as my laptop lacks USB 3.

Cons: Marketing material and item descriptions did not make it plain that the wireless functionality of this device is limited to creating a separate wireless network. This device does not join existing networks where files may be easily transferred. To use the device in the wireless mode requires constant switching between my LAN and the network created by the NexStar. Tethering does work with my iOS device.

Other Thoughts: This is a decent USB 3 dock, which is how I will probably use it. As a wireless device using it's own network of 10.10.10.254 I don't have much use for it unless I can figure out how to "link" it to the 192.168.1.254 router which connects to all my other devices.
