Might or might not connect to host device.

AC wart is fairly large.

Other Thoughts: I purchased two of these. One seemed to be just bad (would not connect to host, when it did it wouldn't stay connected, appeared to "shock" downstream devices somehow so they don't even work on other hubs).

The other unit seems fairly stable ... once it gets connected. It is connected to my laptop, and more or less permanently plugged in to A/C. It didn't seem to work at first, like the other unit, but eventually got itself going and was fine. Undoing the USB cable didn't bother it when I'd take my laptop elsewhere. The other day, though, it got completely unplugged for a day or so. On re-connection, it just refused to connect / stay connected to devices - the blue lights would flash on applying A/C, but then go out immediately. I gave up after a few tries of connecting in different steps.

Today, just for grins, I plugged the A/C back in then connected USB, and voila - it's working again.

Pros: Love the design! Well made of metal. Like the way the ports line up vertically and are numbered with blue leds by each one that is populated.

Cons: Ports 4-7 stopped working.

Other Thoughts: This seems to be a great USB port. I just must have gotten a defective one, as no one else has commented on my problem. I would still recommend it!

Pros: Small and works are per expectation , was perfect as was replacing 2 USB hubs due space constraint and this just fit perfectly.

Cons: They shipped the wrong cable with the unit. i got a USB 2.0 with a micro instead of a USB 3.0 with a B male. Useless. Waiting for the right cable.

Pros: I spent the morning putting this hub through its paces, and am satisfied with the performance. I have several USB sticks that transfer data around 108MB/s and the performance was consistent when plugged directly in to the motherboard or when going through this hub.

6 sticks transferring data simultaneously topped out at 180MB/s which is lower than I might expect, but I don't have enough data to say the limit is the hub or the motherboard.

Several TBs of data were passed through the hub during testing and there were no stutters or hiccups or errors.

This hub worked flawlessly with an Accell 19.7 foot cable.

Cons: Wall wart power supply takes up two or three outlets (depending on your power strip).

Other Thoughts: I like the tidy appearance of this hub. It's smaller than the pictures led me to believe, and that is a good thing. There's no wasted space. It does get a bit warm so make sure you don't cram it in a corner without adequate ventilation.

Pros: ~Solid metal design and enclosure
~Low profile shape
~Plenty of ports

Cons: ~Super-rigid cord makes it hard to keep in place in desk
~Keeps disconnecting, requiring the power to be removed/replaced

Other Thoughts: I'm pretty certain the connectivity issues do not stem from my system, since the hub I had before this one worked without issue and the problems with random disconnects developed suddenly yesterday. Old hub still works fine. I'm going to give it another few weeks to make sure it's not my system that's the problem. But if it isn't, I can't recommend trusting this hub for more than basic, short-term USB interfacing.

Pros: It works with All Linux flavors, it works with all recent distributions.
Sustained writes over USB 3.0 at 100Mbs~150Mbs depending on the device.
Awesome reads as well. I see similar great performance on my windows machine.

Cons: No cons.

Other Thoughts: Under any Operating System make sure you have the latest USB 3.0 drivers, specially on windows.
I have one seagate plus 5TB USB 3.0 unit along with a 4 TB and they work simultaneously at sustained writes and reads at all times, I can fill all the ports and unit will not slow down. I tested with seeker for random writes under Linux all devices and get the same good performance as if the device was connected directly to the machine USB port.
It made very sturdy, feels sturdy and the performance it's great, I highly recommend this device!
