1 out of 5 eggs0 for 2!

Pros: Seems like a great concept, but....

Cons: The remote button didn't turn on when i first bought it and then again when I exchanged it! Needless to say, this product will be returned and I am going to look for a different solution... The technical help at Belkin was very limited and were essentially reading form on-line manuals (ie - NO actual experience with the producs!)

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!

Pros: NONE

Cons: We've ordered about 15 - 20 of these things and more than half have gone back to newegg or Belkin. Belkin tech support is terrible. Even the wired Belkin flip had the same issue. When typing on one PC it actually gets sent to the other PC on the KVM.
The other issue I have with this product it they all come on the same channel so you can't use more than one in a 20ft area.

Other Thoughts: Last time I buy ANYTHING Belkin!

2 out of 5 eggsIt was ok for a while

Pros: Compact and the option flip software to control hot key switching.

Cons: After using the KVM for a while I starting getting waving lines in the monitors. It was to the point I had to take it out of service.

Other Thoughts: If the switch had held up the product would have been a tremendous value.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Product

Pros: USB technology is great. It saves ports on my tower. When both laptop and tower are powered up it works well.

Cons: When I remove my laptop from the docking station and go to work the tower pc will not function without the laptop being connected. When I reconnect the laptop, the two PCs switch keyboard and mouse. When I view the tower connection, I can see my mouse and keyboard active on my laptop.

Other Thoughts: This device seems power limited. Seems when one of the two PCs is removed it breaks the power circuit and nothing will work as advirtised. If you are using this device in a setting that you will have PCs powered up 24/7 with no rebooting taking place this device will work well for you. Otherwise look elsewhere.

2 out of 5 eggsQuit working

Pros: USB support, separate wired switch makes using it convenient

Cons: Awkward and slow, eventually it just quit working. I honestly don't know if this is an issue with the device or the computers but it has always been rather flaky and often required disconnecting and reconnecting before finally that didn't work and the USB support stopped functioning altogether

1 out of 5 eggstrouble with button

Pros: when it works - it works well

Cons: the wireless switich broke within a few weeks of purchase. now must rely on the software switch. recently the switch seems to 'switch' computers on its own.

Stay away from the wireless version of this product.

2 out of 5 eggsDisabled mouse functionality

Pros: Works and eliminates a lot of cables from my previous setup. Although I've had the system hang for no apparent reason, I'm sticking with it.

Cons: I have an MS optical mouse and lost the ability to use the wheel as a back button. Customer support is very poor.

Other Thoughts: Don't throw away the box before fully testing it.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Simple and cute KVM. Works nicely with all our computers. Button allows for explicit switching.

Cons: Has a bit of a delay before your perefirals become operational. Button's battery life could be short.

Other Thoughts: Better go with a wiered button if don't have a cable issue.

2 out of 5 eggsmeeh

Pros: relatively cheap (in price), wireless button is kind of a cool feature

Cons: relatively cheap (in quality), when starting up computers from being shut down i can't get this thing to switch the keyboard and mouse. it only switches the audio and video until i disconnect the large plug (that all the cables lead into) then reconnect it again. after that it works fine but its a real pain. it almost defeats the purpose of buying a kvm (but maybe mine is defective...

Other Thoughts: using w/ an xp pro pc and a mac mini, once you get it to work its great

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, No driver installation.

Cons: Will not work in while pc is booting up USB Mouse is inoperative during that time, Also will Make random Switches during boot up of PC. It is a Belkin and from everything i have ever bought from them is usually Junk!. I for one would never buy a Belkin product.
