4 out of 5 eggsDecent HUB for the money

Pros: 7 ports, sleek stylish look that matches my case & keyboard lighting.

Cons: Docked an egg becaust the power cord is too short & the LED's stay on even when your PC is off. LED's are pretty bright, maybe too bright but that is a matter of preference.

Other Thoughts: Why the power cord is shorter than the USB cord provided I have no idea. I have my joystick & printer connected & they are never in use at the same time. Since my PC is on the floor, this provides, easy convenient connection on the top of my desk for cameras, iPods, etc.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat hub

Pros: This has made life SOOOOO much easier. I have a full ATX case with no front/side USB ports (I broke them a few years ago...) and my MB only had six USB ports. I used removable sticky pads to attach it to my desk on top, and now I have seven powered ports with extreme ease of access

Cons: the blue spotlight effect is annoying, but I have a separate computer room, so it's not affecting sleep... it does light up our entire first floor however, and I can see it would be annoying as a very warm place if it were in your room... but hey, that can also be a pro; it's a nice night-light....

Other Thoughts: if I had the need, I would buy a second one without a second thought.

2 out of 5 eggs2-Years, Failed

Pros: 7-ports + 1 Upstream
Powered via external OR USB.
LED Lights make it easy to find

Cons: 2 years after purchase, device no longer properly delivers voltage. Device is often recognized as USB1.1, not enough power, or otherwise not recognized at all. Frequent device disconnects (annoying during file copy process). Power cord is about two feet long, which makes it nearly useless. Had to move my powerstrip underneath my desk to get this thing within range.

Other Thoughts: Ended up using an extension cord to get power to it. USB Power only doesn't operate a lot of devices properly. On power, it doesn't recognized as USB2.0 half the time, and it often complains about not enough power (!).

Will be purchasing something a little more robust and with a significantly longer power cord.

5 out of 5 eggsNighlight anyone?

Pros: Reliable and convenient.

Cons: Wish there was a off/on switch for LED and that the USB ports are farther apart about 1/2in to allow big flash drives.

Other Thoughts: I wraped it with my sock so the light doesnt bother me when im sleeping.

1 out of 5 eggsPIECE OF JUNK

Pros: 7 Ports, powered hub

Cons: I needed to replace a failing hub, and thought that this would be a good choice. It worked fine for 2 months, then went completely out - no devices connected to it are properly recognized by Windows. Don't waste your money on this one.

4 out of 5 eggsWindows 7 issues

Pros: Great to have a USB hub that has 7 ports.

Cons: cannot turn lights off.
amazingly SHORT power cord
will not be installed properly by Windows 7. (see Other thoughts)

Other Thoughts: Turn off power saving mode on the HUB in the Device Manager and it should operate properly with Windows 7.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes the job

Pros: Quick setup, fairly long cords, compact, lights can be a plus if the hub is under a desk or something.

Cons: Could have a longer power cord.

4 out of 5 eggsBad combination is a pain.

Pros: Decent 7 port powered usb hub

Cons: Windows 7, the usb hub and the Vonage V-phone do not play nice on a Dell Studio XPS laptop. The software on the Vonage V-phone will not initialize when plugged into the powered hub.

I wish you could turn off the lights, short power cable.

Other Thoughts: I don't know if is Windows 7 or the hub, the Vonage V-phone works on 2000 Professional and XP with a different powered hub.
