1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, I guess?

Cons: Randomly disconnects one or more of the three hard drives I have plugged into it. Sometimes by moving it, sometimes by not moving it.

1 out of 5 eggsbad hub

Pros: small and good looking

Cons: After a month some of the ports stopped working with certain devices (usb mice but not flash drives). Not it's functionally a 2 port hub.

1 out of 5 eggsSupports Nothing

Pros: Cute - sounded like it would work.

Cons: I only wanted to use it for maybe 3 devices. It will occasionally support either my phone, or a usb drive, or my mouse. Never more than one at a time, and it will rarely work with even just 1 device plugged in.

Other Thoughts: Why do they even make this? It serves no real function. I'm incredibly disappointed, and have managed to wait too long to bother returning it.

1 out of 5 eggsNobody Breathe!

Pros: I can't think of any

Cons: Look at it wrong and it disconnects. It is impossible to plug anything in or unplug any other device from the hub without everything disconnecting.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this item from a local store in Houston and do not remember exactly why I chose this over other products. I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm just not sure if my decision was based on cost, employee recommendation, roll of the dice, etc. I have two external hard drives connected at all times and I also use it to plug in my iPhone. There is hardly a way to exaggerate the sensitivity of the device to movement. I once used rubber bands to make sure the USB cables from my hard drives to the hub would not move but even that was of little help. There is just no way for you to get close to this thing without having all of my external disks drop connection.

2 out of 5 eggsMeh....

Pros: Looks nice, lots of ports and options. Very plug and play.

Cons: Connections are all very loose, especially the power and main USB cable you run from the unit to your computer. If I plug something in and bump the unit the wrong way, it will randomly turn off and everything connected will disconnect from your computer for a few seconds. Also, it does not seem to run at USB 2.0 speeds at all, no matter what is plugged into the unit. And yes I do have the unit powered, but still no 2.0 speed.

2 out of 5 eggsPower cord too short to use

Pros: compact size, fits easily in a laptop case
includes an AC power adapter
seems to work ok as a USB hub

Cons: The power cord is too short for an average desk with average outlets. It''s about 2.5 feet long so it's way too short to reach across a desk and down to a wall outlet.

Other Thoughts: Has no status indicator lights at all.
Such as for power, device plugged in, etc.

3 out of 5 eggsDisconnects

Pros: Very portable and small. Powered versus non powered ones.

Cons: It disconnects itself when bumped or removing a device from it unless you hold the hub still and pull the device directly out of the socket. Very annoying when all of your devices I.E. Hard drives get disconnected when all you were doing was removing a simple iPod cable in a hurry.

Other Thoughts: Nice hub when it works correctly.

1 out of 5 eggsDON'T BUY THIS HUB

Pros: Small Size, Styling

Cons: USB Connections are very rough. It is very hard to plug USB cable into hub. Poor deisgn - USB connections do not fit into plug completely. No indicator lights for each connection.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this hub.

2 out of 5 eggsGets confused with my iPod...

Pros: Looks good, light, 7 ports.

Cons: I honestly went overboard with the 7-port thing, because I only use 3 or so at a time. Everything works well, exept when I plug my iPod in. It freezes my iPod, making me unplug the whole hub and plug the iPod directly into my laptop's usb. It never fails. I listed "light" as a pro, but its kinda to the point of TOO light (it stands tilted on my desk from the weight of the usb cord).

Other Thoughts: Good for jump drives and small devices. When it comes to external HD and iPod, dont buy.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Hub

Pros: Does the job
Reasonable price point

Cons: Power cord is very short.

Other Thoughts: Very light weight. Not a good hub for a lot of plugging and unplugging, because you need to hold the hub while doing so. I have a much bigger desktop hub for that. This hub sits behind my PC for all my stationary devices.
