Pros: Great concept with DVI, USB and included cables.

Cons: See my previous review. Reliability and support. Went back and forth with Belkin tech support after unit video died. They finally gave up and pushed me up to a supervisor promising a call BEFORE Christmas. Over four months later that supervisor call has never come.

Other Thoughts: Sadly, another company I once relied on very much for their innovative products and their reliability and support, has apparently gone awol. My new router will also be another brand.

1 out of 5 eggsExpensive lemon from the very beginning

Pros: Nice button layout. Have ability to separate audio independent of the video/pc source.

Cons: False advertisement. Original manuals reference support up to 2560x1600 resolution. Lots of back and forth with tech support (with steps to perform resets, blah blah. Eventually said that it will not work with the Dell 3007WFP.

Other Thoughts: Overpriced for something that does NOT work for what was advertised. Bait and switch. Now Belkin only mention support for 1920x1200. They realized engineering failed them and that this product does not work at any resolution higher than 1920x1200. What do they do? Update all the manuals.

Furious. Ripped off. Will NEVER buy another Belkin product and I will tell everyone the same.

2 out of 5 eggsF1DD104L

Pros: Great price, USB powered available, great cables included, large computer switching buttons, DVI support for my 1600x1040 monitor.

Cons: Worked great for well over a year. Disconnected to relocate computer desk and now the video to the monitor is dead. Connected both computers direct to monitor to confirm that both video cards and monitor work correctly. Tried cold boots and reconnection according to Belkin instructions but still no video. Even tried putting video cards back to 640x480 to see if that low res will get through but no luck.

Other Thoughts: Checked web and see that no video to the monitor seems to be common failure, but there seems to be no response from Belkin. Disappointing from such a well-established company. Can't recommend this very reasonably priced and

1 out of 5 eggsStopped working after 1 year

Pros: Easy to install and configure. Works right out of the box.

Cons: Stopped working all of a sudden. The KVM starts switching between ports 1 and 4 without being touched. Called Belkin support. It was very difficult to get hold of them. Options on their Tech Support line does not work.....

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend buying this very expensive KVM. It is not worth the price as it is very flaky.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks fine

Pros: Includes cables, audio from any PC while video/keyboard on another PC. Have had little trouble. Works with Microsoft wireless mouse 5000 as console mouse. Workes with Mac and Windows 7, and XP.

Cons: One port on one unit seems to have retired, but don't need it. No DVI input support for video our output for console screen. No high resolution screens. However, KVMs supporting real high resolution are also more expensive. although I don't know why.

Other Thoughts: I have two of these. On the one with high res monitor, the switch degrades the sharpness when connected to gaming PC, although a bit blurry it does work. Connecting PC directly to monitor improves sharpness, so I blame the KVM. At home use it for one desktop PC, one Mac and one laptop, with occasional fourth PC connected. At work, use it for three Windows XP and Win 7 PCs.

1 out of 5 eggsQuit working after 2 weeks.

Pros: Slick!

Cons: DIED.
Came to work one day and though the K & M and audio part appeared to still be working, the Video was dead.
Smells like it overheated.

1 out of 5 eggsBug

Pros: Dual link DVI
Low cost
4 ports

Cons: Big issue is that the unit keeps bringing the monitor out of sleep mode shortly after it enters sleep. This will significantly shorten the life of the monitor back light. This is one serious bug. Until it is fixed, avoid this KVM. It is going into my white elephant trunk until this is fixed by Belkin. Until then it's a waste of money.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not buy

Pros: Includes cables.
Hotkey compatible

Cons: Picky - It seems to want only certain computers on certain ports.
Crashes - Every three to six months, the usb host dies. DVI works, but keyboard/mouse goes completely out. When this happens, I have to unplug everything, let it sit for about 20 minutes, then replug it in and wait another 30 minutes for it to finally start working. This is unacceptable.

Other Thoughts: After over 2 years of dealing with this bad KVM, I am switching to the IOGear. I've owned 4 KVM's and this is the absolutely worst. I knew Belkin made cheap gear and was hoping this would be better... Right that it was cheap and wrong that it would get better. Do yourself a favor and pick another brand.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great!

Pros: This thing just works as expected. What else can I say? I just plugged in a Logitech Unifying receiver into the keyboard USB plug, and the keyboard and mouse just works, including the extra multimedia keys on the keyboard (volume, e-mail, power, etc.). It drives my 2560x1600 display perfectly.

Cons: Well, the only real problem that I have has is that on ONE computer (AMD processor and chipset), sometimes USB is not connected, and I have to unplug and replug the USB cable into the computer. But that only happens on a single computer. It seems to work flawlessly on the other three computers.

Other Thoughts: While the wireless keyboard/mouse combo works perfectly, it is NOT recognized by the Logitech drivers, so if you need drivers to get your keyboard to work, then you cannot plug it into the keyboard USB jack. Instead, plug it into the switched USB port, and just use the front-panel buttons to switch computers. The down side is that it will appear to the computer that you are unplugging and re-plugging the keyboard/mouse in whenever you switch computers. However, if you need to use a gaming keyboard, this is probably acceptable.

Also, plugging a ROKU box into an input (through HDMI to DVI adapter), it would not drive my monitor past 480 resolution. I do not know why this is, as HDMI can support 1080p. I suspect that this is because this KVM probably does not support HDMI-style encryption.

1 out of 5 eggsLooks pretty, but that's about it

Pros: The cables seem to be well made. And the color coding between the cable ends and the front-panel buttons is nice. Otherwise, this thing is a piece of garbage.

Cons: Unreliable, cheaply made (i.e., flimsy plastic case). Looks great in the pictures, but once you get it home, you realize it's garbage.

Other Thoughts: I have 4 PCs hooked up to my switch, ranging from a nice, shiny Core i7, down to an old, rusty P4. Almost from the very start, I noticed problems on one of the ports, where the mouse and keyboard wouldn't respond after booting Linux. (This occurred only occasionally.) Removing the USB plug from the back of the KVM and reinserting would resolve the issue. Then, ran into another problem where sometimes keys would appear "stuck", repeating forever. Fix was the same as above. Finally, I started experiencing a problem where one of my other Linux boxes would start to boot, but the video would get messed up at the Grub screen. Moved the DVI connector to another port, and all was good. Put it back, and all was good again on the original port. Later that day, it was back to failing. (I know for a fact that it's not the PC, as I hooked the monitor directly up to it, and everything worked fine.)
