5 out of 5 eggsMake sure you use correct DC plug

Pros: Worked perfectly for 3 years

Cons: see Other thoughts

Other Thoughts: The DC connector plug is more or less a standard one. However, you MUST use the DC adapter you bought with this unit. I was reconnecting all my gear and thought, what the hell, this plug fits just fine. A few seconds later and I spell burning. I disconnected it right away but too late. THE ENTIRE UNIT WAS FRIED, along with a USB thumb drive and a pair of headphones. Lesson learned the hard way. I will tag the DC adapter next time to correspond precisely with the correct unit. Don't make the same mistake.

5 out of 5 eggsGood.

Pros: -Some complain about the tight fit when plugging in devices, but I'd consider that a pro. I've junked multiple hubs due to loose / easily disconnected connections, but this one's solid.

Cons: I'd like to be able to turn of LEDs on this, and on every product on earth ever

5 out of 5 eggsgood

Pros: works as described
no problems at all

Cons: none that I think of

Other Thoughts: Using on Ubuntu 10.04 server to connect a couple printers and sometimes use a external HDD. It's kinda slow for the HDD, but does provide power as needed with the external power supply instead of trying to power through the server.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat hub

Pros: Like very hub, has plugs on front, but also has 2 additional ones on hinges, making it easy to use oddball devices that have the USB connector as part of the device instead of using a cable.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked flawlessly for the first 1.5 years that I owned it.

Cons: One of the ports don't seem to work properly anymore. I paid $42.00 so it was rather expensive.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little hub

Pros: Flexible ports that tilt open. Fast speeds

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Have had this on my iMac for a year. Am buying another for my co worker who's other hub failed. The tilting ports in the back are very handy. I plug my keyboard and phone usb cable in the back, leave the front for in and outs.
It Is powered, so you need to deal with that. but that makes it fast

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: -Nice LED blue light lined down the middle
-LED shines through the ports
-2 very flexible ports'
-Stable enough that the coords don't pull it
-Very fast response time
-Simple
-Organized

Cons: -The ports at first feel very tight, but after you put the USB's in and out they will be easy to put in and out

Other Thoughts: Very durable and worth the money. I got this a few months ago but I can already tell it will last many years

1 out of 5 eggsDefective

Pros: It powered up.

Cons: The front USB ports were useless. No USB plug I have would fit into them. This ranges from everything from USM sticks to keyboards to mice to anything else I could try and plug in. The plastic spacer on the inside of the ports were too close to the top of the port preventing the ability to use the 6 ports on the front of the unit. One of the plastic spacers was cracked and when I attempted to insert a device into it, it fell out and caused the unit to draw/send too much power over the USB port on my laptop.

Other Thoughts: I am pretty sure this is just a manufacturing defect, but I was not pleased with it at all.

2 out of 5 eggsNot exactly as advertised

Pros: Pretty when lit up.

Cons: As shipped, this device is not likely to be fully compatible with USB 2.0. The spec requires 500Ma/port and this unit does not have it. Additionally, the blue LED on top lights up regardless of whether it is powered AC or just off the USB. It's impossible to troubleshoot power-related issues this way. If you need to be certain of 10-ports powered, this is not your unit.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this as a hub for USB ASIC bitcoin mining. I was only able to get 3 units working. The rest threw errors. The ports are also not wide enough to get more than 5-6 ASICs plugged in without adapters. Because the power requirements for these ASCIs are precise, I can reliably voice the criticisms above. If you just need to power some keyboards, thumb drives, and a couple of portable USB drives with their own power AND that are unlikely to all be drawing juice at the same time, this unit might work fine for you. That's why I gave it 2 eggs despite the fact it does not meet the advertised specs.
