Pros: Works great. I absolutely love the small remote it comes with. The remote has a very long skinny wire so you can get it just about anywhere you want to have it.

Cons: I have a ps/2 keyboard. I bought a $4 ps/2 to usb adapter for it and the keyboard wouldn't work. I found a different adapter (one with two ps/2 spots keyboard and mouse going into one USB) This works for some reason. Although with this other adapter the shortcut buttons on the top of my keyboard don't work.

Other Thoughts: The problem with the keyboard is, I believe, caused by my keyboard and its drivers not being compatible with usb. I don't think the device is to blame for that so I gave it a 5, plus not having to crawl under a desk to switch computers is fantastic! My keyboard is a Microsoft Wired Keyboard 500 by the way.

Pros: PRICE, Switch button is separate from box, easy setup even a n00b could use, I Love this device and already started recommending it to others. (3 year warranty from iogear)
nice to be able to hide everything but a small switch button.

Cons: wires? (although that is the reason I got this model because I didn't want to have to carry around two sets of wiring to use it.) and if you are looking for audio or ps2 keyboard and mouse support it doesn't do it but you should know that if you are reading the specs. (only will work with usb mouse/keyboard)

Other Thoughts: I got this to switch between my work computer and personal laptop, works great switches fast, had to turn off the usb connect and disconnect sounds as it got annoying to hear every time I switched from one to the other.
if I have any problems in future I will re-review. as for now I love it!!!!

Other Thoughts: My first KVM and it works perfectly. Takes about 1 sec to switch video, and about 3 secs for USB keyboard and mouse to power up. Having the switch button separate from the housing is great because the KVM and live behind the desk reducing clutter.

Could be temporarliy useful

Pros: Cables are pretty long. Switching button is nice.

Cons: Video quality is very poor when connected to hi-res computers (1920x1200).

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these as I routinely work on multiple machines depending on the workload for the day. I generally have a laptop connected via VGA to my 24" dell monitor and a desktop connected to it via DVI (and another 23" monitor). It gets annoying pulling the keyboard/mouse from the desktop and putting it into the laptop, and switching the input on the shared monitor.

When I plugged everything into the IOGEAR switch, the keyboard and mouse worked perfectly. The problem was with the video. There was very bad ghosting of the image and it was blurry, so much so that its not a permanent monitor sharing solution if you've got a nice monitor and work at a hi-res.

This has its place as a useful utility, it just doesn't satisfy my need for a permanent KVM solution for working long days at a single workstation.

Doesn't work as described

Pros: Looks cool.

Cons: The front of the box says "Full Mac Keyboard Support" but I was just told by IOgear support that it takes too much power and that I would be best to: "Try a non aluminum keyboard"

Other Thoughts: Does not have a hot-key switching setting. That was a bad design decision.
