5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Compact; good length on the cord for the button

Cons: Could use a bit more length on the cords for the actual devices; no rubber grips or texture variation on the bottom of the box, which would be helpful when dealing with so many large cables that tend to pull it out of place (I wound up using Velcro pads)

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Allows me to switch between 4 computers.
Can toss behind table after connected and use remote button for switching.

Cons: Lots of wires to get tangled (to be expected though)

The strange little switch button has no lights to show what PC you are on, lights are on top of the box. This kind of defeats the point of the remote switch, but I have 4 different types of things connected so I can just guess based on what is displayed.

Other Thoughts: They should put some micro LEDs in the switch to show what PC you are on. Also, might make the switch cable a little thicker, as it seems like it would be easy to damage.

5 out of 5 eggsHas worked well for 2 years.

Pros: I love it.
It has worked quite well for 2 years.

Cons: the switch started not responding recently

(i'm writing this to help others and maybe even iogear)

Other Thoughts: If your switch stops working, pry it apart and get the switch out of the plastic housing, take the steel top cover off and remove the button and the circular copper conductor, clean the 3 conductors under the circular plate and the bottom of the circular plate, i used rubbing alcohol and scotch brite, put it all back together and get another 2 years out of it. PS if this didn't work, i was going to hook it up to a telegraph swith for fun.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: I use this on my tech bench I only have room for one monitor, keyboard, mouse on my tech bench so I use this to switch between multiple computers while backing up data and installing operating systems on 4 computers at once one of the best pieces of tech gear I've ever purchased.

Cons: No Cons

Other Thoughts: This unit would be nice if it had longer cords just like 2 feet longer.

5 out of 5 eggsNearly perfect!

Pros: Inexpensive, high quality, easy to flip between computers. Plug in your USB mouse and keyboard and it works perfectly.

The selection light tells you what computer you are on, though I have mine where I can't see that. With only four ports, I simply flip between computers to figure out where I am.

Cons: Both USB cables have to be plugged into the computer for the mouse and keyboard to work. It would be nicer if it only needed one USB cable plugged in.

5 out of 5 eggsGood little KVM

Pros: Very small footprint. Tucks neatly away inside my rack without occupying a rackmount position. Simplified cabling with VGA and USBs. Works with Xp, W7, Ubuntu...whatever I throw at it.

Cons: Does require both USB inputs to be filled. So, no single stick USB keyboard/mouse interface...not enough of an issue to mark down.

Other Thoughts: Decent product for a decent price.

2 out of 5 eggsIssues with connectivity

Pros: Allows you to physically plug in 4 towers and in theory use one monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

Cons: I bought this to attach 3 towers to the same keyboard, mouse, and monitor. Two computers are running Windows XP and the other one Windows 7. The Windows 7 computer runs flawlessly. The first XP computer shows up on the monitor, but the mouse and keyboard do not function. The second XP computer would not show up on the monitor, nor would the mouse or keyboard work. I tried switching things around, still no luck.

Other Thoughts: Price on this unit was very good, but does me no good since it doesn't work as described. Not really worth the hassle of RMA and shipping back for 20 some dollars credit...

5 out of 5 eggsgood kvm

Pros: Firstly I don't use the video switch on a daily basis. Two monitors in two different computers and I just wanted one set of mouse and keyboard to switch between them. The switch is fast and works well.

I have used the vga while setting up additional machines and it works just fine but only do this this maybe once every few months.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: never had an issue with the vga when I use it. It's held up over a year with me switching between computers multiple time a day.
