Reads cards at good speed: CF UDMA 4, SD 4 bit.
Resettable fuse and large capacitor for each set of USB connectors.

Cons: Reader failed exactly 4 years after purchase. "USB Hub Power Exceeded ... Genesys Logic USB 2.0 Card Reader"
USB hubs still work when powered.

Occasionally needs a power cycle to reset card reader (disconnect usb and power)

Rubber feet are too small to prevent slipping.

Other Thoughts: 2x GL850G USB Hub, GL826 USB Flash Card Reader

Cons: Multiple removable drives shown for device.

Pros: It does everything I need. Powered USB ports plus all the card slots I need. Worked well, for a while. Now the data rate of the card reader has diminished to where it is unusable.

Cons: Short life

Other Thoughts: I will probably buy another, simply because it is what I need. I'll cross my fingers the next one last longer than around 1 year.

Pros: While it was working it was great, lots of extra USB ports plus a great card reader.

Cons: After a little more than a year the card reader portion has quit working. I have tried everything to fix it. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, tried different usb ports. Nothing worked, the card reader portion is dead but the usb hub portion still works.

Pros: Everything you need from a USB hub/Memory Card Reader.

Cons: Stopped working, I barley used it and didn't even notice that it stopped working until I tried to put in an SD Card. thats when I noticed all the drive letters it used to have just disappeared. Reinstalling didn't help. No clue what happened.. The 2 or 3 times I used it before that had no problems though.

Pros: Ran out of power and needed more USB juice so I ordered this at a stupid price with no expectations. This box delivers, and has become my "go to" device for all temp USB connections -- use it daily.

Cons: None so far.

Pros: It worked for a while, I liked the slots for SD cards, etc.

Cons: It died after several months and was not worth paying postage to get fixed/replaced.

Other Thoughts: Will use it to recharge my iPhone and other USB batteries but that is all it is good for.

Pros: USB ports on side and front

Cons: All the memory card slots show up as drives even when there is no card in them. Not that way I would have done it..

Other Thoughts: It was free with my keyboard, replaced an old Belkin USB hub. I feel this one is of better quality but can't understand the need to show a drive even when there is no card in it.

Other Thoughts: This is a great all-in-one card reader and USB hub solution. I've owned it now for a few weeks, but it's already gotten lots of use. It instantly reads my SDHC cards from my video camera and responds quickly to any USB devices. I really love having USB slots on the front AND the side. This is a thing is a steal at (on sale?) $20!!
