Pros: Works great to switch two computers with one monitor....

Cons: Audio had problems about a year ago. Sent back under warranty, and now audio does not work and it is a couple weeks out of the 3 year warranty....

Other Thoughts: When I called with the history they provided troubleshooting - unpower and disconnect everything then power up in a certain order.....After doing that and even updating firmware, still no go.....Then they said, so sorry out of warranty......
So I bought another because when it works, it works great....

The GCS932UB is a very high selling low failure KVM. Updating the firmware would not correct a sound related issue. Pros: I like the long button lead and the design. The DVI switching works/worked well.

Cons: I've bought 3 of these in the past year or so. One worked for a while and then just died 3 or 4 months later. Another one that's been set up for a couple of months just had the USB fail. Switching monitors still works, but the USB is dead. I've thrown the 3rd in a drawer for emergencies, but I'm looking elsewhere for replacements. twice bitten, etc.

Pros: Okay when it syncs which is less than 50% of the time.

Cons: When switching from one PC to another the monitor will not synchronize to the resolution, causing constant flicking on black screen. The only solution I have found is to turn off the other PC and then sometimes it will sync. If that does not work, the active PC need to be rebooted while the other PC is turned off, totally defeating the purpose of a KVM switch.

The problem you are describing can be caused if a boot with focus on each PC is not done when the GCS932UB is first connected. Once again, thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

Pros: Keyboard shortcut and physical button for switching between systems. It's nice to have the option to use either method. Fast switching, good price for the features. No separate power needed. It makes it very versatile.

Cons: Feature rich keyboards are a problem (see below)

Other Thoughts: I could get the KVM working with my high dpi gaming mouse, but my MS Sidewinder x4 gaming keyboard has been a problem. The keyboard didn't work with windows 7 64 or windows 8, but did (without the special features working) on windows XP (32bit). I suspect I can get it working on Linux or by using a POWERED USB hub off the keyboard port. If you are having trouble with your mouse, the mouse emulation mode off an rescan settings (see the manual) are your friends.

Pros: Does exactly what is supposed to do. Great video quality.

Cons: It locks up my primary monitor if my laptop is not in the docking station and it ALWAYS defaults to the docking station. "ALWAYS - SIGH" Swapped cables, does not make any difference. Have to actually unplug the power cable to my Asus monitor to get video if I forget to hit the power button "shutdown the monitor 1st" after I awake my PC from sleep mode if my laptop is not in the dock. Another negative, not really the KVM's fault but now my monitor is messing up. Most likely due to the power cycles.

Other Thoughts: Would buy again if this was for two PC's. Laptop owners be forewarned.

Pros: small and space saving. Newegg ships very fast.

Cons: Mouse does not work. I tried to google. I tried different mice. I tried to power off computers and make sure mouse plugs into the mouse port and keyboard plugs into the keyboard port. Everything is wired, no unified receiver etc. The good-looking shiny box just does not work with mouse.

Other Thoughts: Maybe it's just that I am lucky. In any case, I am happy to stick to the facts to provide a data point for public good.

Pros: Plugged it in and wit worked fine out of the box. Switching with the push button switch couldn't be easier

Cons: none to speak of

Pros: compact

Cons: It lasted about 2 min. then it lost the keyboard. no power to keyboard. circuit board must be built to min. standards and not to quality standards. Needs to go back to NewEgg

The GCS932ub is an emulated KVM so the emulation is looking for a basic 102 Key wired keyboard. If anything else is used there is no guarantee it will work correctly. Our KVM’s emulate a standard 102 key, keyboard and generic 2-button scroll wheel mouse. The reason for this emulation is to allow the hot key functions to operate. A side effect of the emulation is that in most cases the special key sequences required for gamming, and key programming will not translate correctly through the KVM, for gamming we recommend connecting directly to the computer.

Although our KVMs will work with most wireless keyboard mouse sets, we cannot promise an individual multimedia / programmable keyboard and mouse set will work through the KVM.

Due to the large number of manufacturer's and each manufacturer's wide range of models it is impossible to maintain any meaningful compatibility list.

Pros: It's small and not powered - great. And the switch button is awesome (my keyboards don't have scroll lock buttons or you have to hold the Fn key to trigger them). Everything just works, no repeated keys so far, no lagging mouse or keyboard.

It's pretty fast and I do have this switch working with a wireless Logitech MX5500 combo - mouse emulation MUST be turned off.

I have not been able to get it to work with Logitech's wireless K400r multimedia keyboard.

Cons: Separate USB keyboard & mouse cables/inputs. Not quite sure why they can't mux to a single USB cable (like a hub).

Other Thoughts: Wish it had more than 2 input ports - 3 or 4 in the same form factor. The next in-class 4-port USB/DVI model from IOGEAR costs over $800.
