Connect your wires, plug it in, and forget that it's there.

Cons: No problems after 6 months of use.

Other Thoughts: I used this to split a signal to two projectors and a 22" tv. I used two 100' vga cables for the projectors and a 6' vga cable for the tv. I plugged it in to the wall and everything has been working ever since.
