Great product to share 1 USB printer between two PC's. Using this with an Optiplex 790 & Optiplex 320.

Cons: Taxes & Death but the product is great!

Cons: Volume on/off switch is hard to move and the volume is loud (sound effects are provided when switching between usb ports)

Other Thoughts: Works great to share a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse between desktop and laptop. Have not had any issues with this usage. Have not attempted to use it for its referenced use as printer switch.

Pros: Installation was straight-forward and the device works as described when using the button to switch between PCs.

Cons: The included software for automatic switching does not release memory when a print job is complete, which causes other programs to have problems due to lack of available memory. IOGear tech support response was they do not understand why this issue is occurring and they do not have a solution. I was told to uninstall the software if I was having an issue.

Other Thoughts: The device appears to be solid and performs well as a manual switch; however, the automatic software cannot be used due to memory leak issues.

Pros: This switch worked out perfect for me! A lot of websites/forums claim you can't share wireless keyboards especially Logitech models with 2 different computers. This IOGEAR GUB 231 simply does that for me! I am now able to use 2 computers at home using both my Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard! It takes only a few secs for it scan/switch to the other computer. I am very happy with the guy. Don't hesistate getting this producet.

Cons: doesn't cut my grass

Pros: Easy to set up. For the most part, does its job. Possible to share more than one device with a hub.

Cons: Powered by USB. This is good and bad. It's good because it's one less cable to deal with. It's bad because it doesn't get enough power from just one source to make it work properly, especially if sharing a hub (powered or not).

Other Thoughts: In my use case, one side of the switch was to be intermittent (portable computer). With that side disconnected, there was not enough power to make the switch function correctly. I even tried using a powered hub in the center port to try to compensate for the lack of power. It would have been great if external power was at least an option, but it is not. I stopped using it due to this flaw.

Pros: Pretty lights work.

Cons: While the computers recognize the switch, it won't allow communications to attached device regardless of manual switching or software switching. No amount of driver reloading helps.

Other Thoughts: Waste of time and money. It would make more sense to apply the money for this switch to another device.

Pros: Does What it supposed to do, allows two computers to use one printer. Good simple directions in English & Spanish.
Works well so far.

Cons: Definitely is not "Automatic" You must remember to manually switch from one computer to another by the push-switch on the top of the unit....that's the only reason I docked it one egg.

Pros: Easy to set up the Automatic switch so you don't have to manually switch, easy to hook up, easy CD installation. Works like a charm
