TRENDnet TK-408K 4-Port PS/2 KVM Switch Kit w/Audio

Pros: It was a really good switch. Used it for years without issue.

Cons: Does not appear to work with my video card and 64 bit OS (Vista and 7)

Other Thoughts: I am having serious issues with this switch, my PNY 8600 GT, and 64 bit OS.

Video does not work on that PC. Plug video card directly to the monitor it works great. Plug the card to the KVM no video.

Same configuration was working great for years with XP, then Vista 32. On a move to Vista 64 all the troubles started. Thought the problems were resolved, then moved to win 7 64 not so good. That's why I am looking at a new KVM

Pros: Length of wires and connections all were fine, Hot key switching works well

Cons: Does not work with my programmable keyboard. each character was duplicated when programmed keys were pressed, Switch unit could not handle the speed

Other Thoughts: Submitted a support request from TrendNet and received no response

Pros: Works just as described.

Cons: Having a problem with my HP multimedia keyboard. Regular buttons work just fine, "Higher" functions (eject specific DVD tray, volume button, Shortcut keys, etc...) Do not. Be careful, Its designed for generic keyboards / Mice.

Pros: Everything - i have a TK-200, but needed more ports. i am a very happy man, this KVM is just the same as my other one, in quality and craftsmanship and i love it. Thanks TRENDnet.

Cons: they took out the beep when you switch computers.

Other Thoughts: i have only 3 computers hooked up right now, and when you switch computers it skips the one that's not hooked up, SWEET. TRENDnet should get a gold star, they been making great stuff for years. i had my TD-200 for almost 5 years, and it still works great, but it's for only 2 computers.

Pros: This KVMA switch has worked flawlessly for years, 24//7, three or four ATX PCs full time. Seems to be powered by PS/2 ports, no wall-wort PSU needed. Comes with 4 sets KVM PC cables. I've run video through it up to 1600x1200, and it's clear and rock steady. Never a mouse or keyboard glitch. Never 'drops' a PC when switching.

Cons: As others have pointed out, having connectors on all four sides creates a cabling mess. It would be even cooler if each of the four PC# LEDs were a different color to help keep track of which PC is selected in a dark room. (They're all green and the numbers aren't illuminated.) The PC VGA & PS/2 signals all run through one connector per PC at the switch, making me nervous about locating replacements if needed.

Other Thoughts: A great product for the price. Would buy again. The reason the connectors on low price KVMs are so poorly arranged is to fit everything on the smallest single circuit board possible. To get the connectors all on one side would require either:
1.) A really long unit (awkward),
2.) Stacked circuit boards ($, but what I would prefer),
3.) Internal wiring($) or special footprint PCB mounted connectors($).

Pros: This is my 3rd KVM switch and also the cheapest one I bought. Guess what, it works great. Cables are nice and flexible but well made, and I"m in 1920x1080 and it looks great. You can even un bind the audio to another machine while viewing a different one. I'm using MS USB keyboard and mouse with adaptors on both and it works flawlessly.

Cons: There is no audio notification when switching computer, not big deal, but it would be nice to have. I noticed the audio is a little lower, again not a big deal and I would expect this happen for signal to noise control.

Other Thoughts: Heheheh, cheap, works, I feel like I was taken advantage of with the other KVM's I bought. Glad I snatched this one up.

Pros: Works well, I dont see any delay longer than 3-5 seconds when switching between computers. Gets what I need it to get done, and reasonably priced, considering everything needed is included.

Cons: Other than wires sticking everywhere due to the design I have no complaints.

Pros: works, comes with cables, cheap, DOES have a keyboard hot-key [SCRL-LOCK+SCRL-LOCK] and windows switching application.

Cons: Very annoying delays switching between machines upto 30sec sometimes, can't use during windows xp installation (hang), poor design (cables coming out of each way)

Other Thoughts: I had experience before with some high quality KVM's from ATEN, HP etc and this one is obviously isn't one of them. Feels like cheap and works like one too. Aten 4 port usb kvm is over 2x more expencive

Pros: DOA NONE

Cons: JUNK

Pros: The price is good. All the cables are included. A KVM with sound makes PC testing or even game switching easier.

Cons: POOR DESIGN! The unit has cables comming out every side. This makes the KVM not only a space hog but an eye sore as well. Also you must push a button on the unit to change to the PC you are viewing (no key switch). So you can not even hide the unit.

Other Thoughts: If space is not a problem, cable mess does not cause your OCD go off and taking your hands off the keyboard to switch units is not an issue this unit is for you. Its cheap enough and is all you need for four units in one box.
