2 out of 5 eggsWorked Great for a month or so

Pros: Easy Install
Decent Cable length.
Good Toggle Switch Length

Cons: after a month the monitor keeps flickering. seems like on off and its annoying.

Other Thoughts: Just started using this product and its was good and compact. Worked without any hitch. However after a month Video started flickering on it.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear that you had an issue with the TK-217i. Please power cycle the KVM by disconnecting both sets of KVM cables and then reconnect them. Make sure the connections are seated properly. If you have any third party hardware between the KVM and the computers or the KVM and the console devices, disconnect them to rule out any interoperability issues. This would include any type of interface converters, extension cables or docking stations. If you continue to experience these issues please email and we will have a support representative assist you with warranty services. Please include a link to this review.

1 out of 5 eggsTK-217i DOA

Pros: Has remote switch

Cons: I work for a major Medical manufacturer in the Engineering department. We purchased 30 of these units on our last order. (we have order a few before this)
Out of 30 units, 17 out of the fist 19 we have tested so far are DOA.
They all have blurry video. This is a major problem for the type of medical system we are using this in. The switching works fine. We have verified this agaisnt mulitple computers and screens and agaist older working KVM switches. The problem always follows the KVM switch. It looks like a bad batch as all the serial numbers we have are very close.

Other Thoughts: If you have a critical application you may want to look at another device.

1 out of 5 eggsPowered Keyboards

Pros: The push button to switch between computers is very handy!

Cons: Unfortunately, this item craps out if you are using a powered keyboard like the Saitek Eclipse. It will work fine for a while. However, if you leave for a time, say 6 hours or so, one of 2 things happen. The keyboard either becomes completely unresponsive or certain keys stop working.

Other Thoughts: My opinion is that the switch cannot draw that much power through itself. Unfortunately, I will have to return this item and get a different one.

1 out of 5 eggsturns off randomly all the time

Pros: 2 computer, one keyboard/video/mouse! this is my second kvm (2 different brands) I have multiple computers and servers so this is a good product to own..... when it works....

Cons: This one turns the keyboard/video/mouse off all at once, suddenly, randomly and several times a day. I use my main PC for gaming, 3 monitors with a server shared on one of the monitors. In the middle of game/internet/documents or whatever im doing BAM! no computer for about 1-2 minutes..... very irritating. My advice, dont buy this, you will hate it.

Other Thoughts: Dont sell products if they dont work properly.

5 out of 5 eggsMost reliable KVM I've ever used

Pros: This switch just works all the time, every time. Surprisingly it even works with the combo wireless mouse/KB USB Dongle, wasn't expecting that. This has been in constant use and there hasn't been a single instance of lost USB connections or monitor display issues.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: The remote switch could be a little heavier so it won't slide around, but it does come with double sided mounting tape if you tend to smash at things like a gorilla as I do...

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as expected

Pros: Compact, integrated cables, USB 2.0, switches with either push botton switch or keyboard (software not required).

Cons: LED indicactor difficult to read whether on left or right switch when viewed from an angle.

Other Thoughts: I have both a USB mouse and USB keyboard. When trying a PS2 keyboard through a USB adaptor, the keyboard wasn't recognized. Not sure if the problem was this switch or the USB adaptor.
