The independent audio/mic switching function allows an uninterrupted audio experience - you can continue listening to audio even when you switch to the other computer. This KVM switch uses DVI technology for digital video signal transmission to reduce undesirable distortion from conventional analog/digital conversion. 1 out of 5 eggsLogitech mice/keyboards Causing trouble

Pros: Dual port KVM switches are great if you are using basic, non-backlit, wired keyboards and mice.

Cons: Many folks using many different brands of KVM dual port/USB/DVI, are having problems. This

is a USB device DC Current issue. USB ports are generally limited to supply 500 mA of current

to each port. (approximations!!!) Newer Wireless backlit keyboards draw a lot of current. So do

newer wireless mice with many buttons and wheels. USB ports on a motherboard have separate

current regulator circuits. So...Try changing around the USB Connectors you use on your pc. It

may help. My system is fine now.

Other Thoughts: Some people are being told that they need to run both pc's at the same time to solve the issue. This

combines the USB current provided by each PC. That is a foolish idea for home user. Your

electricity bills will increase. Especially for /gaming PC platforms.

Manufacturers of KVM switches will come up to speed on this. SOON..... They better.

1 out of 5 eggsHorrible Switch at any price

Pros: Unit does support DVI input (we needed 1920x1200) and the trick with the audio through the DVI cables is pretty sweet.

Tech Support was good.

Cons: Nothing but trouble. Switch kills video just like the previous reviewer stated. Also kills our video capture program during the switch. Time for change is slightly delayed compared to other switches we have.
I'll repost when we get the replacement unit if things get better.

Other Thoughts: I spent the money for a DVI capable switch and regret it.

2 out of 5 eggsIt's a Clinker!

Pros: Pretty green or blue light.

Cons: Kills video on Win7, won't detect keyboard/Mouse on Server 2008.

Other Thoughts: So, I decided to upgrade my KVM when piecing together another system.

The ol' PS2/DSub VGA that showed stellar service for years was just
a little too 1990's for this new bad box.

We have a bunch of Tripp-Lite UPS's at our 45 branch offices, and
none have yet detonated and taken down the building, so I take that
as a good sign, and plunked down the asking price to complement the
new rig.

All other components went well on this decidedly expensive gaming
machine. Brought the beast in from the laboratory, and plugged it in,
along with the Windows 2008 Server it was to share a room with.

The server was not liking it, even though it would tolerate the KB/Mouse
combo through the system, and even an extended hub.

The worse part was the beast rig. KB/Mouse fine. Even the sound
was working from either computer. But as soon as you switch the
gamer to the server, good-bye video. Windows 7 Pro makes a
pleasant clunking noise, followed rapidly by another. Restart is
