4 out of 5 eggsSo far so good

Pros: Nice Clean design. Easy to install drive. Pretty much plug & Play device. Oh and the price is the sweet spot.

Comes with all you need. USB Cable, Power chord, case, stand and screws + an extra couple of screws just in case you lose one or two.

Cons: Stand it kind of loose but I don't mind. Keeps it upright just fine. Wish it came with a Firewire port.

2 out of 5 eggsSuggest you spend more

Pros: Cheap, gets the job done. Aluminum case, not whimpy plastic.

Cons: Windows XP takes a long time to find and install the drive. Lousy weirdo PS/2 power connector.

Other Thoughts: If you can afford a few bucks more I suggest you get a better unit! I also bought an Acomdata enclosure from Newegg and it works GREAT. (It also has the regular old 5 mm round power jack.) Every time I use it I'm glad I paid the extra few bucks.

5 out of 5 eggsUnderstand your limitations.

Pros: Good price. Does what it says. The aluminum enclosure dissipates heat faster than the less expensive plastic (no active cooling) enclosures. If you want a 24/7 or heavy use enclosure, this is not for you. Look for one with active cooling.

Cons: This enclosure is not for 24/7 use (or more than a couple of hours for that matter). It gets pretty darn warm. It IS great for backing up your pictures, music, or creating a backup hard drive image to a external HDD (this is what am using it for).

5 out of 5 eggsIt works and its Cheap

Pros: The price. It is very cheap and it works. There is no visible problem with heat as far as I can tell and does what it is supposed to do

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I would have liked for it to have some sort of light in the front, but then again that would have added to the price.

3 out of 5 eggsnot the best

Pros: cheap, metal mostly, works

Cons: if you plan on taking HDDs in and out of this thing expect it to fall apart. the ends are cheap plastic, not metal. feels kinda cheap. but it works so cant really complain too much.

Other Thoughts: not bad for the price.

3 out of 5 eggsDoes what it says

Pros: looks cool, stays col....and it does what its supposed to do.....hey what do you want me t say, its just a HDD enclosure. its pretty cheap in price.

Cons: transfer rates were pretty slow, fluctuating from 0kbps-1mbps.

Other Thoughts: its does a good job and is pretty inexpensive, other than the slower than usual transwer rates, it ok.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Got it within two days, works great and is very fast. I slapped in an old 80gb WDC harddrive to copy some media off my laptop onto my desktop.

I am very pleased with this product.

Cons: None that I can think of.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent for usage

Pros: Simple design to put together and take apart. Simple operation and works fine w/ Vista, XP and Mac OS/X. Blends into desk fairly well.

Cons: No issues

Other Thoughts: Would definately recommend for someone that needs a decent (not great, not bad) external enclosure.
