1 out of 5 eggsStarting RMA Process

Pros: Cheap
750w Active
Relatively quiet

Cons: Coil whine that is getting worse.
Now my PSU is causing my system to crash.

Other Thoughts: I would never purchase this PSU again. There are plenty of better options in this price range. Just look through these reviews and see all the units that had to be RMA'd.

I am disappointed that this PSU started to fail right after my 30 day newegg window. I would have returned this for another brand if I had the chance. I could live with coil whine, but I can't live with a PSU that shutsdown mid gaming.

DO NOT BUY THIS PSU

1 out of 5 eggsDOA does not work at all

Pros: I can't think of any. EVGA no quality control.

Cons: Wasted 45 mins troubleshooting PC to find out power supply is just simply non-operational.

Other Thoughts: I still have my old power supply that actually works.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsAfter a year and a half it went defective

Pros: Good price for a 750W PSU, it's EVGA

Cons: It went defective after a year and a half

Other Thoughts: I bought this about 18 months ago and my computer was starting up weird and my computer would shut down at the exact same point in 3Dmark. I called up EVGA and he had me go to the bios to look at some numbers and it was defective, however, my computer does still work as long as I don't do anything too power intensive. EVGA is RMA'ing it and they're even sending it to me first so I can send it back. EVGA has awesome tech support and it is easy to RMA with them. I only docked an egg because it went bad after 18 months, but other than that they have been great with tech support and RMA'ing.

3 out of 5 eggsJust unlucky i guess

Pros: For the 1st 3 months IT ran like a champ. I got a great deal from Newegg.

EVGA Support is by far the best Support team i have ever dealt with. The Shipped me a new power supply right away filled out my RMA form and paid the shipping to ship the dead one back to them..

Cons: The reason i give this product 3 eggs is because mine died in a smokey blase after 3 months.. It did not hurt any of my components.

Other Thoughts: Really i can't complain. As a system builder who buys EVGA Video cards exclusively and having owned 8 or 9 of there products this is the 1st time i have ever had to return any of them. Heck my EVGA 9800+ is still chugging along in my kids pc after 7 years of service.

Manufacturer Response:

3 out of 5 eggsloudest part of my system by far.

Pros: It powers my system. It doesn't seem to have any fluctuations.

Cons: Man. This thing is by far and away the loudest part of my build, and that includes dual reference gtx 660 ti's in sli. I can't believe they actually let this go to market making this much noise. I actually sent one back because I thought it was defective. Nope. They are just really loud. Like I said, it works for power, but plan on being annoyed by the sound.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Jerry W,

I am very sorry for any confusion, but I can confirm that these power supplies should not be considered loud when running as we do use larger quieter fans on the units. Please contact our 24 hour technical support at 1-888-881-3842 option 1 or by email at Newegg@evga.com as we are here to help with troubleshooting or warranty if it is needed.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Its modular and looks nice.

Cons: This PSU doesn't have what the specs said it had. I have to 270xs and as I started plugging then in I realized that I only have three 6+2 connectors. The website and box say four but this is just not the case. It should have 2 modular and 2 non-modular but there is only one non-modular so I could not use it. If you are going to have dual high end graphics cards don't get this PSU.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear David L,

I am sorry to hear of the confusion as this unit should have more PCI-e cables for you. Please contact our technical support at 1-888-881-3842 option 1 or by email at Newegg@evga.com as we are here to assist with having this exchanged or the right cables sent.

Sincerely,
EVGA Customer Support

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very Good.
Looks nice.
Works as advertized.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The power supply is one of those components that you really can't go wrong with so long as you don't get an untrusted brand and make sure you go with the correct wattage you need in order to maintain your specific system. It works as advertized and I have had no problems with it.

5 out of 5 eggsShould be good.

Pros: A good replacement, Very good cables, really good to use for cable management.

Cons: Nothing, besides not being fully modular :P

Other Thoughts: A good replacement for my 400w. I had my last psu blow up, and destroy my CPU and Motherboard too. Bought a BIOSTAR TZ77A, an I3, and just 2gb's of ram.

5 out of 5 eggsUsing for 2 1/2 months straight

Pros: None so far, 2 1/2 months of heavy use.
Working good so far, without any technical issues that I know of.

Cons: None so far, only 2 1/2 months of use. This isn't a Con but my other thoughts section is full so posting it here.
Idk why they say modular, when its semi-modular since there's a thick mass of cords coming out.
I think I might be wrong about calling this a semi-modular? Maybe this design is actually modular and has been defined by the whole industry and the power supply manufacturers as the standard way to build and design a Modular Power Supply.

Other Thoughts: I'm connecting 3 monitors, 4 fans, 1 sound card, 1 graphics card (GeForce GTX 760), 1 SSD, 2 HDD, 8 GB RAM(4GB each), Intel i5K, 6 USB Cords 4 are devices Mouse, Keyboard, USB Headset, Xbox 360 controller.
