EVGA Power Supply
Hardware.Info UK (2013/10/01)

The EVGA SuperNova 1300W is an excellent power supply with almost Platinum-like efficiency, an extremely low ripple and good voltages. Gamers and overclockers with multiple video cards can eat their heart out with this PSU.

EVGA Power Supply
JonnyGURU (2013/08/01)

This... is the power supply to beat at the 1300 watt level right now. It is that damn good. This is the power supply that makes you say, "screw Platinum efficiency, I'm getting an EVGA G2 1300 instead." Heck, I want one, and I already have one.

EVGA Power Supply
TechPowerUp (2013/08/01)

EVGA managed to deliver a very strong PSU of excellent quality at a bargain price.

5 out of 5 eggsgood psu

Pros: my 1st psu from evga. Seems to be solid so far. Though, I haven't really tested this psu because new parts tend to run without as much power consumption?!@? I have 2 980 evga AcX 2.0 Superclokd cards pulling from this psu.... doesn't phase the psu at all.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I do recommend this as I do the evga ftw x99 mobo!

5 out of 5 eggsSolid PSU

Pros: I purchased this recently for a new build and needed something that could handle multi-gpu setup, 8 core i7 and 2 pumps as well. This PSU handles anything you throw at it. Very nice product and comes with fairly nice modular cables too. For the price you really cant beat this. Compared to other high end PSU in this wattage range its far cheaper.

Cons: The one and only con I see is the noise. Its not unbearable its a quiet hum, however I have 8 scythe gentle typhoons (1450rpm) in the build and can hear the PSU over them . Its not a big deal mind you I am just quite picky about noise.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb PSU

Pros: This thing has power to spare!! With my system, it does not have to work hard. All output are VERY stable and where they should be.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: At the price I got it, AND the performance, a must buy.

5 out of 5 eggsPower time!

Pros: Carefully chosen for it's 2 x EPS (CPU Connectors) for the top of the motherboard. The top plugs offer a chance of 8x each and 4x if it is necessary.

Modular. You can build on this type of power supply without too much trouble.

It has 1300 watts of power, plenty of room considering that I am deploying a rather powerful system. I cannot allow it to fail.

Cons: I think the SATA Power connectors are one short on each. But, I managed to make them work for the devices.

Other Thoughts: It replaced a Seasonic Gold X Series Power Supply that was pulled from a computer after a few years service. The motherboard failed on the computer rather than the power supply.

I found a few cables on the seasonic worn to the point of exposing metal close to where the SATA Connectors go into the back of the Hard Drives and so on. Maybe the angles work against them over time.

The Seasonic cabling is not harness wrapped as the EVGA Super nova is.

As I write this, I am working up to all 4 of my MSI GTX 680 Video cards to be installed in the case. Discovered that the 6 red cables that provide power to each of the cards are all needed to make it happen.

Seeing that I am running 6 SSD's (Vertex 3) in raid 5 there really should be plenty of power on hand for the CPU and video cards.

It is protected by a aging Cyber power AVR 1500 Uninterruptible power supply. So far I have not pulled the 900 wattts needed to have it complain.

But we might discover it's limitations soon enough in BF4,on 4 video cards.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal IMO

Pros: Fully Modular
80 Plus Gold

Cons: None that i can think of. Worked just great right out of the box.

Other Thoughts: Not really a con but i wish they would have configured the individual cables a bit different so i would not have had to use as many to connect up each item i have. But thats just my take.

4 out of 5 eggsBeware of cables

Pros: Attractive
Excellent PSU for the price

Cons: VGA cables are red. These would stick out like a sore thumb in builds. I don't think they would even look good in a black & red themed build. I purchased the EVGA sleeved cable set for the G2 series ($90) to get around this and because they look nice. -1 egg

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2

Pros: Will feed my Evga Gtx 480 SLI setup all the juice it needs along with the extra 120mm fans, a coolermaster V8 cpu cooler with 2 fans and my Phenom II x4 975. Quiet, although I can't really hear it due to the 480's. Cool, but again next to the heat generated by the 480's a volcano seems like a summer breeze. Package is really classy and the supplied cables are really stout. Easy set up. Kind of large but if you have the room in your case totally worth it.

Cons: Size, cable rigidity, might consider your airflow when sticking it in your tower( bottom mount probably wise)-none of these bother me but it's something to keep in mine

Other Thoughts: Bang for your buck with wattage to spare, same principal as a gun "i'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it"

5 out of 5 eggsI could weld with this!!

Pros: Upgraded the PSU in my folding rig with this. The system pulls upwards of 900W at full tilt, this thing doesn't even break a sweat. Fan doesn't speed up, it barely gets hot. 10 year warranty! I'm a raving fan! Got it on sale too!

Cons: Didn't come with any welding clamps, had to make my own.
