5 out of 5 eggsSo Far so good

Pros: So i bought thermal take psu from best buy first just to test out my system before the EVGA psu came in. Let me tell how happy i am i waited for the EVGA psu. The second i installed the thermaltake psu, it only had enough power to my first i was freaking out because i read alot of threads about the motherboard 50 percent of the time being the reason systems wont post. Fearing the worst. I decided to wait until my EVGA psu came in. And the second it arrived, installed everything. Turn on the pc for the first time. and guess what? it instantly posted, and everything was working as it should. Im so happy i patiently waited for the psu, instead of rma my motherboard. Screw thermaltake, they cant make a psu if there life depended on it. Always by EVGA or Corsair or really anything other then thermaltake. Im so glad my motherboard had a shock or surge(whatever the thing that protects it from being fried) protector on it, or my whole system, including my r9 290 graphics card would have fried.

System for those who are curious

intel core 4590 cpu
xfx amd r9 290 gpu
MSI B85M-G43 motherboard
g.skill 1x8 gb ram
EVGA 600b 80 bronze certified 600w psu
cougar spike black steel micro atx mini tower

Cons: only con i honestly have, is its a bit loud, but i also have 120 mm fan that came with the case, and another 80 mm fan i installed from an old system, that might be making the sound much worse than it should be. But really fan sound never bothered me.

1 out of 5 eggsDead on Arrival

Pros: None.

Cons: Dead out of box. Had to go to a retail store for a replacement. Now stuck with shipping return cost. Definitely not worth the purchase, recommend buying from a brick and mortar so you can return.

5 out of 5 eggsUnit Works As Advertised A++

Pros: Unit didn't look or felt cheap. It is not as loud as other acclaim to be. Is been working for a while now with no weird noise or anything that would state the unit is defective.

Cons: Not modular but is okay for the price can't complain. Other than that it is what it is a Power Supply Unit.

Other Thoughts: The system that this is installed is a AMD FX-8150 with 16GB DDR3 1800Mhz, ASUS Sabertooth 990FX v1.0, SSD Crucial M500, XFX R9 270X 2GB.

Pros: The product itself

Cons: This company felt it was appropriate to deceptively market their products by using a mail-in rebate as an incentive for the customer to buy. Once I purchased the product, I followed all of the rebate protocol to a T, providing absolutely all evidence of proof of purchase.

Just to fully illustrate how ridiculous this situation is: My product came with TWO barcodes, so I included both as part of the rebate, even though the rebate only requested I send the UPC barcode. I included both original copies anyway, just so there could be no possible discrepancy. Additionally, I took pictures of both of these barcodes. I then took the image files, placed them on the same document, and printed both pictures them onto one single piece of office paper. Then, I took the two original barcodes, and TAPED *both* of the original barcodes onto this said, single sheet of paper with printed pictures of these same barcodes.

You would think, with all this done, EVGA couldn't possibly decline my rebate request, right? WRONG.

EVGA then sends me an e-mail saying "Your Rebate was not approved for the following reason(s):

- Required Documentation missing-Original UPC Barcode Label - UPC/Barcode mismatch"

So I called EVGA, of course, and they claimed that they had received ONLY ONE of the barcodes. Coincidentally, only the non-UPC barcode. They HAD received the barcode which was not required for the rebate, but not the one that WAS required for the rebate. Therefore, they denied my claim. Despite the fact that it is ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE for you to receive one barcode and not the other, considering they were TAPED TO THE SAME SHEET OF PAPER, a sheet of paper with BOTH of the barcodes PRINTED ON IT.

Absolutely unbelievable experience. Very insulting that EVGA finds it appropriate to advertise their products using rebates, and then refuses to honor their word, and just flat out LIES and says that they never received necessary documentation to back out of living up to their side of the deal.

4 out of 5 eggsQuiet, and cool

Pros: All of the cables are wrapped with a black mesh, making it easier to hide them within the case.
The unit's fan doesn't generate much noise, if any.
I have not noticed any excessive heat from the PSU, compared to what the video cards can put off.
No issues with interrupted power. Had a small mishap and managed to work the power connection loose at the unit itself. Rather than short out at the connector, it cut all power until I pushed the plug back into the socket securely. Started right back up.

Cons: The cables have a mesh wrapping that helps conceal them, but the mesh weave tends to catch on any kind of sharp edge. (Motherboard, video card, etc.) The weave will also loosen a bit and bunch in a few places, but it hasn't posed any significant problems other than being a mild annoyance when routing cables. Sure wish it was modular. (Hint hint EVGA)

Other Thoughts: If you are building in a slightly cramped case, the cables aren't the most flexible, and unless routed well, tend to protrude into the most inconvenient of places.
If you're building in a larger case, like a full ATX, the cables are long enough to connect, AND be routed neatly along hidden edges, etc. Probably won't be hiding any behind the motherboard though, unless the case you bought accomodates nearly an inch of space behind the board.

4 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: It gets the job done. Perfect for good gaming PC's

Cons: The fan cage installed right above the fan was getting in contact which caused a loud continuous clicking sound. I thought of returning it but instead I installed the cage outside the PSU casing and it was perfect
