5 out of 5 eggsAbsolutley Silent

Pros: Silent. Way quiter than a 500W Corsair I bought last month for another build. Value priced. Black Shielded cables. Has all the connections I need. Would Highly Recommend.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Oversized for my non-gaming needs, but the only decent 250-300W PSUs (like SeaSonic) cost double this one.

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA Power Supply

Pros: I was trying to fit this into a BitFenix Prodigy and it fit with plenty of room to spare to coil around the power cables.

Overall, it looks pretty solidly made, and best of all its nice and silent. For the price I paid, you will be hard to find an equally good new unit.

Cons: The plastic shrink wrap made the box harder to open. The ATX cable was divided in two, and I had to stick them together first before plugging it in to the board. It's pretty simple as the latch only goes one direction. However the fact that I had to think about it before plugging it in was somewhat strange to me.

Other Thoughts: For a budget build, I think this is perfect. EVGA is a great company and I have no doubt that even their lower end products will stand the test of time.

5 out of 5 eggsNot half bad

Pros: Price; should come to ~17 if MIR goes through
80+ rating and power protection/fail-safe features
Nice build quality/full sleeving on all cables
Timely delivery of a well-packed item

Cons: Cables are MUCH stiffer than any power supply I have ever used. If you have a 4-pin CPU jack on your MOBO you will have a tough time getting half of the 8-pin plug properly seated.

Single fan/no LED to tell you the fan is (almost certainly) spinning

Other Thoughts: Dropped right in to a Vostro200 with C2Duo 8400, 4 full ram slots and an r7250. At $17 shipped, I thought it wouldn't hurt to go with a new power supply from a name brand. Speaking to the other review that ID's HEC as the OEM, I have had no trouble with N82E16817339019/HP485D 485W in A Phenom II X3 720 OC'd to 3.2/HD6670 rig, even though that PSU has a light (15A) 12V rail.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent budget PSU

Pros: I used this PSU in a lower end build for my sister. It fit the bill perfectly, and with the rebate was practically a steal.

Pros:

1. Decent REAL wattage for the money. JonnyGURU tested this PSU and found it to be stable and worth the money. The wattage stated you really get...no inflated claims.

2. All the necessary electrical protections to keep you from frying your components or burning your house down. UL listed.

3. Enough connectors for the wattage and expected budget PC build. Do not pay attention to the others here who have complained that there were not a massive number of connectors...what is supplied is more than sufficient and more importantly APPROPRIATE. EVGA realized that you keep the number of connectors to match the stated wattage and you will not have upset customers with fried builds.

4. Dead silent.

5. Nice black paint job.

6. Sleeved cables all around...unusual at this price point.

7. 80+ Certified and Haswell C6/C7 ready...also unusual at this price point.

I put the built system (detailed below) through a Prime95 and Unigine Heaven 4.0 combined 48 hour stress test and there were no issues.

BE AWARE THE OEM IS HEC. Not a bad thing, as EVGA obviously had a lot of say in the design. Just a FYI.

Cons: None. For the price you are getting a nice little PSU. Just don't expect to build a high end rig with a Radeon 290X and be happy with the results.

Other Thoughts: System build:

AMD A10-7850K at default clocks
AsRock AX88 Extreme 6+ full sized ATX mobo
8 GB G.Skill Ares RAM (2 x 4 GB DDR3 1600 sticks at 1.5V)
Seagate SSHD 1TB 7200 HDD
LG DVD/RW
EVGA 430W PSU
Corsair H55 AIO water cooler
2 x 140mm case fans inside a Fractal Design Core 3300 case

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value: works with Haswell

Pros: Low price

Worked with intel haswell processors (tested with i3-4130 and Xeon E3-1230V3)

Not too big (Used in a mini-itx case)

Cons: rebate was cumbersome.
black color made it not match certain pc cases

Other Thoughts: I just ran it with a Xeon E3-1230V3 and gtx570. Worked plenty fine without any issues.
Great so long as it fits your power needs

5 out of 5 eggsSweet little PS.

Pros: Price, it works..

Cons: Not modular (but I knew that so not really a con).

Other Thoughts: Sweet little ps, put it in a micro atx build to show a friend you could build a pretty powerful machine without spending a fortune.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent PSU

Pros: Just installed this yesterday. For the most part, was exactly what I needed. Has plenty of connectors . Nice matte black color which complements the inside of my case well.

Cons: My main complaint is that the 8-pin power connector for the motherboard was too short. I struggled getting this in for 45 minutes, just wasn't happening. I ended up routing that one cable through a separate hole than all of the rest of the power cables to give it the last couple of centimeters it needed. Still was a VERY tight fit and just barely got it. The only other thing is I wish the cables were fully sleeved / the colors not so obvious.

Other Thoughts: Over-all a good buy for the money. Just that 8-pin was my nemesis.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Runs quiet
Good amount of connectors

Cons: Would've liked to have seen a string of mixed SATA and MOLEX, as I used my SATA cables for the DVD/OC Panel and the HDD area and I used my molex to power an extra 6-pin to my GPU. I still needed a SATA for my H80i, so I ran a MOLEX extension to a MOLEX/SATA adapter and got power that way.

Other Thoughts: Overall, great PSU. Currently running a ROG Hero VII Z97 mobo with a OC'd 4790k and an EVGA ACX GTX 760. Plays games beautifully and I have no power issues.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat brand power supply and very quiet

Pros: I have been buying this brand of power supplies for most of the computers that I build for customers because I have never had a bad one or had one to fail on me. They are very quiet, cables are just the right length and the price is right too.

Cons: None
