4 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: EVGA 100-W1-0430-KR 430W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC 3 Year Warranty Power Supply Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready

Pros: priced, good brand name.

Cons: SATA connectors very cheap I line it up pushed lightly and it broke. be very careful with them. in my case I did not need all the SATA so I can still use it just taped up the one that Broke.

Other Thoughts: I been working on computer for many years never had a SATA connector brake the plastic is very thin and brittle. also the unit it self is very light in most cases this is not a good thing it means there just barley enough copper to do the job. Not good for long Life. I expected more from EVGA as they make the best video cards you can buy.

Pros: 80 PLUS Certified , Quiet Fan 120mm, Intel Haswell Compatible

Cons: burning smell would power on at times.

Other Thoughts: When running had a smell of plastic melting that filled by room. After 2 days would not power on after 4 attempts. Had to RMA. Thanks NewEgg for taking care of my RMA . NewEgg is the greatest

5 out of 5 eggsgreat low end PSU

This review is from: EVGA 100-W1-0430-KR 430W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC 3 Year Warranty Power Supply Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready

Pros: Cheap
Decent build
Perfect replacement for an office computer PSU that went out

Cons: Sleeving is pretty cheap looking.
Fairly light.

Other Thoughts: I ended up getting this for $15 after the rebate. I can't complain too much about that. It has been stable for the past month. So far, so good.

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA 100-W1-0430-KR 430W ATX12V

This review is from: EVGA 100-W1-0430-KR 430W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC 3 Year Warranty Power Supply Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready

Pros: Sufficient and stable power for moderate systems. Looks are good in all black, and cables are sleeved. Has a single 12V rail, with up to 34 A. It has a basic set of connectors, 24 pin, 6+2 PCI-E, 4+4 EPS, 3 molex, and 4 SATA. A single fan cools it quietly. Includes screws and a power cord. Uses active PFC and is compatible with newer systems i.e. Haswell-based. Warranty is reasonable at 3 years. It is a good value PSU that has been reliable.

Cons: More SATA connectors might be useful for some users.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU for the price

This review is from: EVGA 100-W1-0430-KR 430W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC 3 Year Warranty Power Supply Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready

Pros: Awesome PSU for the price. 34A single +12V rail and 80 plus certified for under $40, $19.99 with the rebate. Has adequate power for a box with not too much in it. This is my second one and EVGA is one of the only brands I trust in this price range.

Cons: No cons to mention.

Other Thoughts: For pretty much $20, this PSU can't be beat. Got this for a simple build for my wife's computer which has:
-AMD Athlon 860K (Stock)
-GTX 460 SE 1GB
-4GB Corsair Ballistix DDR3-1600
-128GB Toshiba SSD
-2 X120mm Fans

PSU runs fine, no issues whatsoever.

5 out of 5 eggsGood budget PSU

This review is from: EVGA 100-W1-0430-KR 430W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC 3 Year Warranty Power Supply Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready

Pros: Inexpensive, does what it's supposed to, cables are sleeved. No issues since it's been installed 7 months ago. Quiet.

Cons: Cable management is close to impossible. Of course the reason you're probably looking at this is to build a low-end, low-ish price system. Features like "modularity" come at an additional price.

Other Thoughts: If you're looking for a good quality. inexpensive power supply for your low-end system, look no further. If you're going to be installing a midrange or higher graphics card, or want as few extraneous cables internally as possible, then skip this.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works.

This review is from: EVGA 100-W1-0430-KR 430W ATX12V / EPS12V 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC 3 Year Warranty Power Supply Intel 4th Gen CPU Ready

Pros: Good little PSU. Very quiet too. Also very cheap (can regularly be had for around $20 if you're willing to send in for a rebate).

Cons: Non-modular, though at this price point it's not really a con.
