1 out of 5 eggsbad psu

Pros: it was on sale

Cons: I had a problem with the motherboard powering up, I have a psu tester
I tested it and it has a short in the 24 pin connection to the motherboard, you can wiggle the wires and it will make a connection then turn back off, it think it shorted out the motherboard, now I have to send it back and replace it, stay away from evga, I have never had a good product with their name on it

Other Thoughts: will never buy anything that they make ever again

5 out of 5 eggsvery nice

Pros: I've built about 10 computers with this exact power supply and never had a problem. There were no DoA ones or early failures.

The fan runs completely silent and the efficiency is noticeable by the amount of heat coming out of the vents. The voltages were pretty steady as measured from a high end motherboard too.

I've never had the cables be too short, even in medium-sized cases. The arrangement of power connectors is very useful and flexible too.

It even comes with black mounting screws! They're much better looking in a black case than metallic screws.

Cons: The major drawback of this power supply is that it isn't bronze or silver certified for 80 plus efficiency. The other annoyance that is common to a lot of power supplies is how unbelievably annoying it was to plug in the 24-pin power connector to the motherboard. The extra 4-pin connector next to the 20 does not snap into place and the plastic is very slippery.

Other Thoughts: I tried this power supply in high wattage gaming computers that draw around 250W total and didn't have any problems.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Power Supply

Pros: Great power supply for a budget build.

Cons: Cable's are long for a small case.

Other Thoughts: Still waiting on rebate. First try was denied. Sent in a legible readable copy of packaging list (The copy was a little dark, but all details could be read). Received email that it was not clear and legible. When I looked at the on line copy the packing list was readable but was dark and had creased marks in it. Since all details could be read I was surprise the rebate was denied. Sending another copy out in the morning.
