5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: I don't know why everyone complains about the length of the cables. I have a corsair obsidian 750D full tower and i didn't have a single issue with the length. i was able to hide everything PERFECTLY and there is amazing airflow. the cables are so much easier to work with also. i had a corsair tx750 for my last build and corsair treated me very well but I'm a super fan of evga so i chose it this go around and have to say i love the cable style better. There is so much more flexibility over corsair cables.

Cons: None at all.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: I've owned the PSU for something like 9 months now, and its performed admirably. Powered an i7 4790k with a decent overclock and SLI'd 780 Lightnings through some intense gaming sessions as well, all without a single hiccup..

And of course being modular is a tremendous help.. I recommend this power supply for anyone who needs good power from a reliable brand!

Cons: N/A

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA PSUs are definitely on top.

Pros: 1kW of continuous power delivery.
80Plus Gold efficiency which is negligibly lower than Platinum. (2%)
All cables are ribbon with no sleeving and all black.
Has two pure 6-pin connectors so no dangling 2-pin most other PSUs will have.
I can't test PSUs the same way other sources can, but it's EMI noise and ripple are extremely tight by the standards of those sources.
I can safely say even with ultra cheap headphones that love playing all the EMI noise coming from your PC; I hear no EMI noise from my PC. This is impressive.

Cons: Only two possible complaints:
1; The fan grill isn't supported by ANYTHING so don't try to hold the PSU by that or it'll bow inward.
2; The afore mentioned 6-pin connectors are not dedicated. They split off from their primary 8-pin in an extremely LONG parallel that I had to loop twice to get it looking reasonably clean. Seriously, it's about 4" (75mm) long. It should've only been long enough to swap which side of the 8-pin it was on. I can think of only one scenario where you could connect two devices on one cable, and that's extremely obscure and too ridiculous to mention.

Other Thoughts: My complaints are not worth an egg. They are personal subjectively biased issues that only really have an aesthetics concern. Inspite of the double-looped ribbon on the power input for my graphics card; it's cleaner than it looked with the old PSU having two color-coded and thin mesh sleeved cables running to it. I was just hoping for slightly cleaner. Custom cable kit - here I come.

5 out of 5 eggsRevision on earlier review

Pros: Have to retract my earlier review, forgot to switch out my old SATA plugs for the ones specific to this PSU. Unit runs great, very quiet, no issues.

Cons: None really

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent, though a little room for improvement.

Pros: -I love the finish, it looks good with just about any color scheme.
-Fan is unbelievably quiet.
-Strangely satisfying click noise whenever it turns on or off (sounds kinda like an old tractor solenoid)
-Got it for a great price ($130)
-Made it work in my full tower case (cmstorm trooper)
-LOTS of protections (which make me feel confident my hardware is safe with this - you're trusting your entire system's safety to your psu after all)

Cons: -Cables are extremely stiff
-No support for aftermarket cables
-Serious lack of clear instructions
-MB/CPU cables are too short, had to use an extender for both to route them through the back of the case.
-Appears to have a high DOA rate, though i personally have not had any issues so far.

Other Thoughts: Replaced my trusty old CM 850W that finally gave out.

Would definitely recommend for anyone with a lot of expensive components they'd like to protect.

1 out of 5 eggsBroken upon arrival

Pros: Seems like it would be a good deal if it worked

Cons: PSU fan clicked over once and then stopped every time I tried to boot. Additionally, I have since reconnected my old PSU which was working fine, and it now runs at full power at all times with the fan at max speed. I can't help but feel that this defective PSU shorted something on the mobo.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Easy to install, more cords than I'll ever need, and keeps my case from cluttering. I was worried because some other reviews say the pins bend easily and the cords aren't long enough, but the pins didn't bend for me (I think the other guy forced them), and the cords are long enough to maneuver through my midtower.

Cons: The wording in the instruction manual was a little confusing; it says to match the motherboard cord so the end that says "MOBO" fits where the power supply says "MOBO". I tried it this way and my computer wouldn't start, so I reversed it and now my computer works perfectly.

Other Thoughts: The components came in some really nice cloth sleeves that I'll probably never use again, but it was sexy.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid PSU

Pros: Plenty of power. (1000W)

It's very quiet. Only time I hear it is when I power the system on I'll hear a click, but that is all. Perfectly normal.

Fully modular. Which is great obviously since it makes cable management much easier.

I installed this PSU in a Rosewill Thor V2 case (Full Tower) and the cables are indeed long enough for a full tower despite what someone may have said (Only 1 was a little short, see cons). I have the cables ran through the back of the tray to hide the ones I actually am using.

Looking at HWMonitor and my BIOS hardware monitoring section, I can see the voltages are extremely consistent, more consistent than my old PSU - A 450W Rosewill Capstone 80+ Gold PSU which is also a fine power supply, just needed a little more power for what I wanted to do. (Or in this case, a lot more than I need!)

Cons: Only con is the CPU Power connector cable is a little short, but still long enough for a full tower, just don't plan on trying to hide it since that won't be possible. It is long enough to maneuver it in a way so it doesn't get in the way of airflow.

Other Thoughts: So far I'm impressed with this PSU unit. It's been rock solid so far and I'm quite happy with it. I probably won't replace this thing for another 5+ years. (Assuming it holds up, hopefully it will!)
