5 out of 5 eggsMy power level is over 1000w!!!

Pros: It's a very well built, good looking PSU. The gunmetal gray of the PSU goes well with everything. If you are worried about it being gray in your black case, you won't notice it. I've had it a few days and while I haven't beaten the c*** out of it yet, it wasn't DOA so that's a plus. The packaging was fair enough to keep it safe and nothing I received was damaged in any way. Good Job!

Cons: None so far. I'll update this if something comes up in the next year. The only kinda complaint is that everything in the package from the cardboard to the wires it's all black or dark gray, the screws are a shiny steel.... Sticks out on my 750D.

Other Thoughts: So far I'm very satisfied with the product. Wires are flexible and the modular set up is better than the corsair RM PSU I had. Can't complain. 8/8 g8 m8.

5 out of 5 eggsamazing psu

Pros: good quality, comes with protected cover sleeve to protect psu. quite. 1st evga psu and consider me impressed. everything from qaulity down to packaging impressed me. evga has gained a loyal customer in psu department. My friend danial even commented on quality difrence between this and corsair psue he has seen me put in pcs. And he doesn't know much about pc except what he has seen me work on. more then enough cables

Cons: i wish cpu 12v cable was a little longer for cable management(its a tight fit in my full tower case). i would suggest to evga to make it about 4 inches longer for smother cable management. i had to find work around to get 2nd gpu in do to cable length.

Other Thoughts: overall great psu if evga would make cable 4" longer then it would be flawlessly perfect in my opinion. now i need to wait for rebate to go through. although i have heard of bad things about rebates with evga. we shall see ill keep my hopes high i dont experience any issues.

5 out of 5 eggsgood power supply

Pros: had to use this to replace a burned out no-name 1300 watt power supply in a bitcoin miner. This one works just as well and is actually more power efficient. the fan is pretty quiet and the cables design is nice. I needed 8 6-pin pci-e power connectors for the miner and this had just the right amount. even though there are 6 video power connectors on the power supply, two of the cables have dual pci-e power connectors, so you get 8 all together. Someone else wrote a review complaining about the 2 dual pci-e cables and why would anyone need them. well, I am one of those people that need them. I did not want to use adapters to turn 2 old 4-pin drive power connectors to, I dislike using adapters whenever possible.

Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggsSurvived power transformer explosion

Pros: I was on the computer when suddenly BOOOOM! The power transformer located on the post right in my back yard EXPLODED! Power went out on the entire street and I just knew everything was fried. Hours later the power company fix the problem and power is back on. I was hesitant (actually afraid) to restart the PSU and PC but had no choice. Turned them both on everything is working like a charm thanks to this EVGA PSU Heavy-duty protections, including OVP (Over Voltage Protection), UVP (Under Voltage Protection), OCP (Over Current Protection), OPP (Over Power Protection), and SCP (Short Circuit Protection). Thanks EVGA! I highly recommend this product!

4 out of 5 eggsNo issues

Pros: Modular is the way to go for better cable management.
135mm fan is very quiet.
Cables are a bit stiff, but this makes for better control when managing them.
I have had no loss in voltage with the system at full load running the PCMark 7 stress test for 1 hour.

I bought the 1000w psu just for an extra sense of security for power usage and over clocking.

Cons: 4pin cpu connector cable is a bit too short to run proper cable management in a full tower case. Would have given 5 eggs if not for this issue.

Other Thoughts: Haswell i7 4790 3.6ghz Quad core 4.0ghz turbo boost

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome!

Pros: I don't know why everyone complains about the length of the cables. I have a corsair obsidian 750D full tower and i didn't have a single issue with the length. i was able to hide everything PERFECTLY and there is amazing airflow. the cables are so much easier to work with also. i had a corsair tx750 for my last build and corsair treated me very well but I'm a super fan of evga so i chose it this go around and have to say i love the cable style better. There is so much more flexibility over corsair cables.

Cons: None at all.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: I've owned the PSU for something like 9 months now, and its performed admirably. Powered an i7 4790k with a decent overclock and SLI'd 780 Lightnings through some intense gaming sessions as well, all without a single hiccup..

And of course being modular is a tremendous help.. I recommend this power supply for anyone who needs good power from a reliable brand!

Cons: N/A

5 out of 5 eggsEVGA PSUs are definitely on top.

Pros: 1kW of continuous power delivery.
80Plus Gold efficiency which is negligibly lower than Platinum. (2%)
All cables are ribbon with no sleeving and all black.
Has two pure 6-pin connectors so no dangling 2-pin most other PSUs will have.
I can't test PSUs the same way other sources can, but it's EMI noise and ripple are extremely tight by the standards of those sources.
I can safely say even with ultra cheap headphones that love playing all the EMI noise coming from your PC; I hear no EMI noise from my PC. This is impressive.

Cons: Only two possible complaints:
1; The fan grill isn't supported by ANYTHING so don't try to hold the PSU by that or it'll bow inward.
2; The afore mentioned 6-pin connectors are not dedicated. They split off from their primary 8-pin in an extremely LONG parallel that I had to loop twice to get it looking reasonably clean. Seriously, it's about 4" (75mm) long. It should've only been long enough to swap which side of the 8-pin it was on. I can think of only one scenario where you could connect two devices on one cable, and that's extremely obscure and too ridiculous to mention.

Other Thoughts: My complaints are not worth an egg. They are personal subjectively biased issues that only really have an aesthetics concern. Inspite of the double-looped ribbon on the power input for my graphics card; it's cleaner than it looked with the old PSU having two color-coded and thin mesh sleeved cables running to it. I was just hoping for slightly cleaner. Custom cable kit - here I come.

5 out of 5 eggsRevision on earlier review

Pros: Have to retract my earlier review, forgot to switch out my old SATA plugs for the ones specific to this PSU. Unit runs great, very quiet, no issues.

Cons: None really
