5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Do your watt calculations, if 400 fits your build go for it.

seems nobody does watt calcs anymore and just judge power supplies on "how much they weigh" " what is the number on the side"

and buy the highest they can afford.

that isn't smart purchasing.... that is stupid.

Cons: newbies

Other Thoughts: DO YOUR FLIPPING WATT CALCULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY.

Pros: You get to practice troubleshooting.

Cons: Bought new from another vendor, hooked up into new computer. Pressed power, inhaled smoke. This PSU fried on the first power on, I bought a new PSU from best buy and it appears the Mainboard is shot as well. Do not touch evga PSUs with a ten foot pole.

Other Thoughts: Before anyone asks, I always verify that the voltage is set correctly on the back. This is my first and last EVGA PSU.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsMasterworks all, you can't go wrong

Pros: Small.
Powerful.
Great quality.
Worked.

Cons: No power switch.

Other Thoughts: This really puzzled me, I've never encountered a PSU that did not have a power switch directly on the box. It's a great PSU, so a pretty minor point...

But no direct cut off is bad in a few different ways.

However, it's EVGA, inexpensive, and will probably last longer than the person I built the computer for. One thing I admire about EVGA, they never cheap out on their stuff. This thing was solidly built, passed the system burn-in, and will be able to power more than what's in the system I built currently, for a fraction of the price of some others.

Cons: no on/off switch, One day and got fried, I couldn't figured out why so i went to best buy buy a thermaltake psu.

Other Thoughts: skip this one, spend a little more get a better psu.

5 out of 5 eggsIdeal size for Matx-Cube case

Pros: The EVGA Support website is very accurate-- for this it has every single statistic you could need. Easy to find, easy to read. I read it BEFORE i bought it. Not that i don't trust N/Egg just double checking. I needed something under 5 1/2" with 30< on a single 12 and this fit the bill.

It was ideal size for a cube case. Cables aren't 3 ft long and wrapped in a garden hose.-- Those specs are on the website too. There is not an over abundance of wires either, sata are one single strand and about 5/6" apart not 2"

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Its not a monster, has enough AMPS to get the job of a basic PC or AMD-APU type ghetto gamer done though. My customer added a drive and assumed she needed more power. She replaced a good 500/40 with a 650/15 bargain "GAMER P/S" from auction and had no idea your supposed to shop by AMPS and NOT watts.. This unit just replaced that so she has no more re-boots every 10-12 minutes. Has a 2yr WARR so it should last the kid until she graduates 8th grade at least. This PC never gets turned OFF & ON, just stays ON so this P/S should last a long time.
