1 out of 5 eggsNo Good for me!

Pros: None

Cons: Price doesn't matter if the product doesn't work
Couldn't burn past the first layer, always received error just after half way through the burning process.

Other Thoughts: VERY FRUSTRATED...

These DVD's arent' cheap...and they DON'T WORK!

Based on ratings...I think it may be a better idea to use Verbatim...that's what I'm doing.

1 out of 5 eggsStay Away from this Brand

Pros: They made great holders for drinks...

Cons: Do not buy this brand I picked a box of 5 at a local store, being out of my favorite brand Verbatim. I had bad experiences with other brands a few years ago, but I thought well its DVD its got to be up to spec by everyone now... Boy was I wrong out of the 5 pack every single one crapped out at the lead-in stage.

Other Thoughts: Dont wast your money.

1 out of 5 eggsMore Coasters than Ever

Pros: None.

Cons: I bought a fifteen pack of these and ended up with thirteen coasters. My other burner and OS wouldn't even recognize them as DVDs. It kept calling them CD-Rs.

1 out of 5 eggs2nd batch, 100% failures

Pros: None

Cons: All of the discs failed after 52% of burning, which I'm assuming is where the layer break kicks in. Unfortunately, I bought two 10 packs at the same time. The first pack had a 50% success rate, the second pack had a 0% success rate.

Other Thoughts: It's a shame that Memorex changed their discs, as I had very good luck with the old ones.

I just ordered some Verbatim discs from New Egg, hopefully those will work better.

1 out of 5 eggs50% Failure Rate

Pros: The half that worked played in my DVD player.

Cons: The discs failed to burn to completion on five of my first ten discs. Replacing only the trashed disc with a new one from the spindle, all of my movies eventually burned successfully.

Other Thoughts: I had been using the old Memorex dual layer discs for about a year, with almost no failures. Then I saw a Newegg review that claimed that the regular Memorex DL were being manufactured in a new country. The review said that the product was not as good as it had been. After reading that, I decided to try the new ones. Big mistake. I don't now if the old Memorex DL disc are really not as good as they used to be, but the new ones were very unreliable in my machine. Since each movie eventually burned successfully, I'm assuming it's a problem with the disc. However, I do not claim to be an expert on such things.

5 out of 5 eggsNot 1 coaster

Pros: I have burnt 200+ memorex DL discs that were 2.4x with no coasters. Likewise with these 8x.

Cons: Some people using these are stupid.

Other Thoughts: Just because they don't work for you doesn't mean they suck, have no problems and I have a cheap off-brand burner I bought from Staples!

1 out of 5 eggsThey suck

Pros: None that I can think of.

Cons: 1. More than half of them were defective.

2. None of them were the right speed (the package says 8x, but they wouldn't let me burn at anything higher than 2.4x).

3. Memorex Customer Service gave me a hassle before finally sending me some replacements.
a. They would not accept the electronic copy of the invoice I sent them.
b. They only sent replacements for about half the defective disks.
c. The replacements they sent were the WRONG PRODUCT (4.7gb disks, instead of 8.5gb).

Save yourself time and energy. Get Verbatims instead.

Other Thoughts: This is the last Memorex product I ever buy.

1 out of 5 eggsRK

Pros: Did prove that Verbatim still makes the best DL dvds. 40+ and not a single coaster.

Cons: Very first disc was a coaster. Second one burnt without a failure, but doesn't play in any of my drives or dvd players. So far the product has lived up to its brand name. Memorex must learn to make DL dvds before they offload garbage like this.
