2 out of 5 eggsMemorex 25GB 6X BD-R

Pros: Had 100% success after learning I had to burn at only 1X, otherwise, lots of coasters where the process stops 3/4 of the way through.

Cons: Must burn at 1X to get reliable complete burns

Other Thoughts: Maybe they've since solved this problem as mine where purchased some months ago.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: No problems if you get a working batch

Cons: Bought 4 packs of these at different times. First 3 packs had no problems. Last pack 5/5 discs were bad and had random read/write errors in last 5GB. I am guessing all of them will be bad so I only use up to 20GB and it seems to write/verify ok in imgburn.

1 out of 5 eggsMemorex blanks are cr*p

Pros: Not ALL of them are useless.

Cons: Many coasters. I have NEVER gotten coasters, either DVD or Bluray, from any other company.

Other Thoughts: I thought possibly blank Blurays would be different than my experience with Memorex's blank DVDs. Nope. I will NEVER buy blank Memorex media again. I can trust that a large percentage will not burn properly.

1 out of 5 eggsUnfortunately....awful

Pros: Price

Cons: Coasterville
Waste of money
Should've listened to the other reviews

Other Thoughts: I rarely give bad reviews but this product warrants it. I've been a longtime Memorex user but this time they have truly let me down. No wonder these were on sale.

So far I've had nothing but coasters, regardless of file size, write speed, burning program used, etc. I previously burned 2 of 2 Verbatim Blu-Ray at DOUBLE the rated speed with ZERO problems. I can't even get 1 of these to work at LOWER than rated speed.

I am using a LG burner with Windows 8.1. I can understand maybe one bad disc, but all of them so far? At this point I would be happy to just get one good burn. I guess from now on I will stick with Verbatim discs.

AVOID. Not worth the trouble.

Cons: None right now

Other Thoughts: Single layer disks. Bought them because they were on sale.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: They look pretty.

Cons: Horrible media. Used LG blue-ray 6x burner. I tried to back up primary drive. Two disks, two coasters. 1 tried @ x6, second tried @ x4. Both failed.

Other Thoughts: Glad I did not buy 25 of these.

1 out of 5 eggsjunk

Pros: They look like burnable Blu Ray.

Cons: They say "Memorex" on them.

Other Thoughts: I never write reviews, but I actually felt the need to here. Half the discs aren't recognized. 1/4 error out. I've successfully burned maybe 3 out of 18 or so. To test it's not me, I used some of the Optical Quantums that I usually use. Not a problem burning with any of these. I've always had bad luck with almost everything from Memorex. I swore them off for years because of this. I figured I'd give them another chance. Anyone know the definition of insanity? 2/25/14...I will never forget.

Used windows 8 and a fresh install of Windows 7.
Used Nero and Windows to burn.

1 out of 5 eggsBad discs for archiving

Pros: They burn OK.

Cons: I got Memorex discs Model# 97854 (ID: RITEK-BR2-000) about 4 years ago. I used all of them to record hd video for archiving. The burning process went OK, no coasters, and each disc was verified after burning. I watched then at least once after that and they played fine. This year I discovered that all of them have degraded to a point that they were either unplayable or play a bit and then stop, or skip parts of the video, because they can not be read. I have tried them in 3 different Blu-ray drives in PCs, PS3 and another LG standalone player. While these may not be the exact same model (the ones I own have been discontinued), you are going take chances trusting your data to be stored on them.

5 out of 5 eggs5 for 5

Pros: These discs, Nero 12, lite-on 12x burner = zero coasters and HD video quality.

Cons: They aren't free.

Other Thoughts: I actually found these on sale at the local big box electronics location for $16.99.
