Other Thoughts: I have one of these that just failed and there is no way to RMA it, you will only have the return period with NewEgg and then you are going to have to throw it away if it breaks. N/A 8/11/2012 10:57:16 AM Tech Level: 4/5 Ownership: 2/5 Verified Owner	Rating: 1/5keep looking Pros: none Cons: the housing comes apart even after tightening the screws as much as possible without strippiing them, USB 3 mode disconnects sporadically (bad controller board?), cable connection on back was loose causing unit to not be recognized at all - a little jiggle and it would recognize, but this eventually caused the connector to break completely Other Thoughts: Had 2 USB 2.0 Ultra brand units for years that never failed us. We both started running out of space, so bought larger hdds and decided to try USB 3.0. This unit looked nice, but didn't work well for us. Went back to Ultra - so far so good (about 2 weeks now). I had a problem with an Acomdata USB 3.0 bus powered enclosure where it wouldn't spin the drive up when connected to my laptop. It worked on my desktop but not laptop. This Mukii Enclosure works great on my laptop though using a USB 3.0 port. I'm glad cause I thought something was wrong with my laptop. Cons: None Other Thoughts: Easy to install drive. lkc 8/24/2011 10:24:53 PM Tech Level: 5/5 Ownership: 1/5	Rating: 5/5 Pros: decided to buy into this company even if i didnt know who they were. wanted a simple looking case. very easy to install. plug in hdd to the sata connectors, screw it into the case. case has a ac adapter port but i didnt need to use it (doesnt come with ac adapter). most hdds of this size dont need it. Cons: there are smaller enclosures out there. i have a wd passport and the passport is about 1cm shorter. didnt have a drive over 12.5mm so i cant comment on that. have a 320gb drive which had a tiny bit of clearance left inside. as stated already no case. you get the drive and a usb3 cable (has a usb2 head also but that didnt work when i plugged it into my comp, only the usb3 head works -- which is compatible with usb2). Does what is say it do, give you fast USB 3.0 speed. Be nice if more motherboards have standard USB 3.0. Just make sure you don't have a 12.5mm height drive. Cons: A carrying case would of been nice. I got a 1 TB drive which is 12.5mm high, and it did not fit. So it's really NOT compatible with "any" such drive.
