5 out of 5 eggsOnes Made in Taiwan Great, India Bad

Pros: Reliable, Never let me down.

Cons: Some of this brand are made in India, you do not want any of those batches, you will get lots of coasters, But if you get a batch made in Taiwan you are good to go. Unfortunately when you order you do not know for sure what batch you will get. I have been lucky and only gotten the Taiwan batches.

Other Thoughts: Those of you that are having a lot of failures, check your packaging for where it says the discs were made. I bet you probably have a batch from India. The Taiwan batches are very reliable, I do not know what the hell they do to these discs in India.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The pricing was good.

Cons: The overall quality of this product is very bad. Out of a stack of 100 discs approximately 20-30% of the discs were coasters.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat's 15 cents

Pros: Like everyone else has mentioned, they work. What everyone has failed to mention, they have stable dyes. I was recently given some DVDs to copy. The DVDs were burned in 2007 and only worked in a brand new Plextor drive. The DVDs were not scratched and did not appear to be abused. Most of the other brands source their DVDs from other suppliers. Plextor Drives come with software which IDs the actual manufactures of various DVDs, you will be surprised that most DVDs or sourced from two main suppliers regardless of the label.

I did some research and discovered that most DVDs are of marginal quality and most likely will not last. If you want archival quality DVDs, there are only four choices.

In the Verbatim line, you want the ones marked AZO.

Cons: None. What's 15 cents when you're selling a DVD for $30 or more. Why rip off your customers?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat product

Pros: I've used literally hundreds of these to back up my purchased moves and have yet to have a bad burn that wasn't my fault or a software issue. I have some that were burned over 9 yrs. ago that still play back flawlessly.

Cons: No cons whatsoever.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat discs

Pros: These are the discs you want to use if you prefer making DVDs to coasters.

Cons: These are not the cheapest blank DVDs out there. But, you get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: If you make video DVDs to play in a regular DVD player, this discs seem to work well with all DVD players.
