2 out of 5 eggsOverheating too much

Pros: Works fine if not running high intensity graphical games. Everything else is consistently cool, CPU, GPU, RAM all of it is within temperature range but this power supply does not do what it says it will do. You figure an 850W psu could deal with high performance gaming and a r9 290x gpu, but it can't. Now its overheating when I'm playing skyrim...SKYRIM and that's just the vanilla version without mods. I am extremely disappointed with how this psu has turned out and hope to find a better one in near future that can actually handle all the components of my rig.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat choice

Pros: Solid little PSU.

Cons: Not enough to knock off an egg for but.. the blue led's in this puppy could double as aircraft lighting, they are super bright and will illuminate a large room at night ><;

1 out of 5 eggsdo not buy

Pros: Blue light

Cons: Bought this thinking that it could handle 850watts, clearly not. When I try to use my system at 4k in gaming, my computer shuts off within a minute

1 out of 5 eggsComlete trash

Pros: blue light.

Cons: Everything else. It died on me within the first year of ownership. It couldn't handle a 6870 under heavy load, and forget about the R290x, i wound up putting it in an older machine with a 6790 but less than 12 months since buying this piece of rubbish it's dead. Stay away!

Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY!!!!!

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The blue led fan looks cool...

Cons: Poor, poor quality... I ordered a 850w 80 plus gold rated psu from a reputable brand somewhere else for just a bit more money a week after receiving this piece of trash... Do some shopping and you can find a much better product for the same price that will deliver the specs written on the box...this psu is not 80 plus rated and I've read on many different forums that if you push it over 500w it will die... I should have done my homework before ordering. Completely my fault for not reading more about the company and the unit before hand.

1 out of 5 eggsTotal rubbish - save yourself the time

Pros: None I can think of - blue light maybe?

Cons: Everything about it. I "upgraded" from a 650 PSU to this piece of rubbish. It dies while running a 6790 card that a 500W psu can handle, two cards, forget about it. I throw in my R9 290X in there, and its shut down time.

I put the old 650 in, and it runs the card fine, but I'm looking to mine so need the extra horse-power to keen the 290X on 24/7.

The result - go buy a new f'in power supply from a solid manufacturer. First and last time I try and save a few bucks on a PSU. Should have known better. If it's too good to be true it probably is.

This PSU cannot handle a single R9 290X and even less so two cards.

1 out of 5 eggsBAD

Pros: see cons

Cons: the psu shows as 720w max but sold as 850w please do not push it pass 500w.
I was running 1 7950 with one of this it was so hot.
I just replaced the 1 7950 with (2) 270's and the psu can handle it no problem
i'm getting 47Xkh per card stable no frezzing no dead psu no nothing
before when running more then one 7950 the psu would pop and turn off. this was a pain. i finally got around it but it was so much time.

do not buy this psu. buy something else please do not buy it
the psu runs really hot for some reason.
the support for this is so bad i called the phone number
if i could give 0 stars i would

1 out of 5 eggsDoes NOT run 850W

Pros: Turns on - can handle 500W for sure...

Cons: Does not push 850W (doesn't appear to even handle 600W) - it can't handle 2x280x (500w) and low wattage MB/CPU(~100w) combo. My Corsair CX750M (750watt) is able to handle the 2x280x, 1x7850, and same MB/CPU combo with no problem.
