2 out of 5 eggsBe Warned

Pros: It worked for a year and a half.
5 year limited warranty.
This is a great power supply, if you live in the Germany.

Cons: Then it died, taking a EVGA GTX 670 SC with it. This was supposed to be a 80 plus gold but is more of a 80 minus copper rating.
One of the biggest cons is the RMA. Please read it before buying. You will see that it is a headache and that is up to you to send it back to Germany to get t looked at if they even acknowledge your existence.
Emails left were unanswered.

Other Thoughts: There are better PSU's for the same price out there, that have better warranties (EVGA's 10 year) and a RMA system in the United States were you can actually get someone to answer you and stand by their product.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat stuff so far.

Pros: Power supply has a fantastic build quality and looks quite awesome too. Very quiet unless under super high loads. Voltages are nice and stable, and the cabling was bundled nice and neat in the box. Nice selection of cable variety too.

Cons: None so far, works flawlessly.

Other Thoughts: I guess the only real comment would be this; the main connectors on the psu are covered with a braided sleeve which is nice, however the additional cables use flat plastic cord covering that are a bit stiff at first. So, as expected the cords can make twisting them in some directions a challenge, but all in all not really a negative i wouldn't say.

5 out of 5 eggsLove it.

Pros: This is the 2nd Cougar PSU I have owned. Solid quality all around. For a 1050 gold the price is also good. I like that its not fully modular as the cables that are attached are going to be used anyway and this way they are closer to the edge of the unit and fits more cleanly.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Cougar has to have the best looking PSU's out there. More than just looks though.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 1050W for 189$ (current sale price) is amazing. I got a coupon for an additional 20% off on Cougar PSU's and I managed to get this puppy for 157$. Mostly modular, dead quiet, and very solid construction. Definitely recommend

Cons: A little heavy, but it IS a 1050w psu.

Other Thoughts: none

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Bought in June 2012 and still runs quiet. Solidly built. Looks great in the case. Great cable management, the velcro straps with the logo are a nice touch. basic cables are hard wired, the rest you can plug in as you need them. Nice thick braiding for the cables so they don't get pinched when squeezing them behind the right panel.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This thing is huge! Be sure to check the dimensions against where it mounts in your case to make sure it fits

1 out of 5 eggsWaited too long

Pros: None

Cons: Bought this many months back on special for a build that got delayed. Finally got to using it for a mod case project and surprise. Its DOA nothing at all. This was literally right out of the package, right into the build and nothing. Too late to do anything.Too much time

Other Thoughts: Built many computers and have lost a couple of PSU but never thought this one would be a DOA. So much for German Engineering. I learned my lesson and will never let it happen again. Built a bench case to test all new parts immediately.

1 out of 5 eggsNot work with RADEON 7970

Pros: - Work fine with RADEON 5870 and 5850
- semi modular cable management real nice
- Gold certified high efficiency

Cons: - 6 low power rails hard to distribute the power
- Not work with RADEON 7970
When I replace RADEON 5850 with 7970 the power supply trip. The power drawn is around 800W at the time.

Other Thoughts: There is nothing to tell which cable come from which rail. Maybe, I connect the 7970 to the cable which share power with other CPU or other GPU.

2 out of 5 eggsFailed

Pros: Cable management, was nice while it worked

Cons: Failed after 6 months, went on manufactures site and tried to figure out RMA process. You need to be a lawyer to understand the process. In the end I gave up and bought a Corsair model. In the end the motherboard only thing that was a damaged and had to be replaces with this PSU

Other Thoughts: Read the RMA before purchase, if,it sound like a lawyer wrote, pass it up for a manufacture that is known for backing up their products

3 out of 5 eggs6x25@ 12v rails

Pros: High watt rating. Lots of cables!!!! 80+gold

Cons: Not single rail!!!! If you oc your 7980 alot, which i hear isnt to hard, you could potentially explode this thing, as the rails are only 25 amps each. So no 690, ares2 rog, or other high draw card and you good

Other Thoughts: Use for 600 series cards in 3 way sli, or there are better options
