1 out of 5 eggsA 500 watt power supply in 760 watt clothing

Pros: *Attractive
*Plenty of connectors

Cons: *Doesn't provide advertised power (see other thoughts)
*Loud fan

Other Thoughts: I bought this in a pinch. I just had an older OCZ unit die and was strapped for cash. Installed this unit.
PC specs;
Phenom II x6 1100T @4ghz
EVGA GTX780 SC with ACX cooler @1175/3500
ASRock Deluxe4 890fx
Began experiencing shutdown under heavy loads. Tested it with a Kill A Watt. This unit was shutting down at 561watts, well below it's advertised rating. Bare in mind this is a measurement of what the PC is taking from the socket. The actual load required by the components is likely even lower.

PSU manufacturers need to stop mislabeling their products.

It's RMA time.

4 out of 5 eggsHey, it works and it's cheap.

Pros: -Works
-Cheap
-Pretty quiet

Cons: Okay, the Gpu and Cpu plugs are bundled way too close together. made plugging my cpu in with my honking 212 evo cooler taking up my entire case a nightmare, was probably going to be difficult anyway, but that sure didn't help. It was pretty awkward plugging the gpu in too.

Other Thoughts: Got it on sale for $70, good deal.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: Works, had plenty of connectors, plenty of wattage. Affordable.

Cons: Not Modular, Doesn't give free candy.

Other Thoughts: It's been working great, keeps my system running. My system isn't super demanding, I run a MSI r7770, AMD dual core 2.6, 4gb ram, 3 fans. I'm in the process of upgrading my system so this was a good start on my road to upgrading.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: This an excellent 750 watt power supply. I have an older 630 watt Cougar PS that is over 1 1/2 years old and going strong. It is 80 Bronze.great The cords are long enough to use as bottom mount PS in HAF ATX Case. It appears high quality , and has plenty of plugs, that are neatly rapped. It runs my AMD 6970 Video card with out any problem. It has 60 total amps on the 12 volt and that is always the most important spec

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The most important spec is the total 12 volt amp spec. This is what most of the computer runs on. CPU use 1.5, 2, and 5 Volts . But Video cards, Hard drives and Optical's are all 12 volts. Most big Video cards need AT Least 40 amps and many 50 plus amps.like my AMD 9670, always check 12 volrt amps. All brands can have a few duds , but I have never had a dud PS, and Cougar appear great so far. Some say it is a HAW which was supposedly good. I haven't check the RU number yet.

5 out of 5 eggsmore power

Pros: Two rails and 3 year warranty for under 100 bucks. hmm
I just did a new build and I've got two hungry sli video cards that each need two six prongs. And the second rail makes sure that my cpu and cards are well fed.

Cons: To me this is a off brand, but with the warranty I decided to give them a try. If it tanks I've still have my old power supply that will run on card.

Other Thoughts: all from Newegg from 2004 to date, except mouse and OS

5 out of 5 eggsGood 760W Power Supply

Pros: This power supply provides plenty of power for my system that includes several expansion cards, 5 hard drives, and multiple USB peripherals. It has functioned as expected and I have had no problems with it. The power connector cables provide a 24-pin (20+4) ATX main power connector, a 12V 2x4-pin CPU power connector, SATA plugs, Molex plugs, and PCI card plugs. The fan is whisper quiet.

Cons: The power connector cables did not include any Mini-Molex (Berg Plug, or Floppy Drive Plug) connectors. I needed an adapter cable for this purpose. Also, the mounting screw holes in the power supply did not line up with the screw holes in my case. A little creativity was required to secure the power supply in the case. It would be nice if the manufacturers of computer cases and power supplies could standardize the location of the screw holes!
