5 out of 5 eggsExcellent DVDs

Pros: I went through the entire spindle without an error. These will likely be my default disks for the future.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent stack of optical discs

Pros: LightScribe label media, gives professional looking results.

Nice gold surface.

Decently priced.

Cons: Occasionally a disc will not be recognized as LightScribe and cannot be labeled as such, but the recording side still seems to work normally. This has only been once or twice so far, though.

Other Thoughts: These have been great for the wife's professional photography, the LightScribe-labeled discs look much better than a scrawled Sharpie or even a paper label. The inkjet labels also give good looking results, but you have to consider the ink costs with those, as well.

5 out of 5 eggsThird order. They keep working

Pros: I have gone through about 200 of these disks. Lightscribe has always worked for me. I have a PC with 3 drives in it and burn 3 at a time.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: I have also bought the Vinpower blu-ray disks. They are also working well.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None

Cons: LightScribe does not work. I have two drives: one does not recognize the disc as LichtScribe and the other just darkens the top of the disc as it can't continue to read the bar codes. Don't buy this junk. Spend the extra few cents per disc and get ones that work.

1 out of 5 eggsDisk's centers visibly imperfect

Pros: Great if you have a Sharpie.

Cons: Lightscribe would not print on any of these. I had a few Color disks of the same brand, they still print Lightscribe fine. Disk's centers visibly imperfect.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good deal

Pros: Good price for the quantity when you consider Lightscribe discs are not cheap.

Cons: None. Well, I wish they came in other colors, but clear would be perfect, well, reflective, um.. chrome? you know what I mean, looking pretty similar to the data side.

Other Thoughts: I'm beginning to think it was my burner after all, it kept choking on perfectly fine discs when using lightscribe. Burned one two times, and I don't know if it knew, but it aligned it perfectly lol, so a small bit was actually very dark. Good thing I just received a scrap pc and it has a lightscribe drive, hopefully it works, I don't care if it doesn't burn data since I have another drive for that.

4 out of 5 eggsGuess that's how it is.

Pros: Price. So far, no bad discs have come out.

Cons: Not sure still, but every disc I labled, you can see uneven strength rings of the lightscribe laser. Not sure if this is how it's always been. I have burned discs with the same burner before, but for the most part, it was only letters, so it'd be hard to tell if there was a minor defect in the printing, but now I've been using a lot of the disc surface since I'm putting pictures as labels.

Other Thoughts: Oh by the way, if you are a first time buyer, don't expect the lightscribe labels to be completely black. In my case, even in the "best" setting, the "black" still comes out a bit weak.

4 out of 5 eggsBurned fine, lightscribe side could be better

Pros: Inexpensive in comparison, and in bulk is always a good way to go. I'll come back after I burn more, but the data side worked perfectly.

Cons: The lightscribe side left a little to desire. I can see slight differences in concentric rings on the design I made. Not sure if it's the disc or the burner, but I've used the burner with other lightscribe discs and the designs were made perfectly. I'll keep burning more to see if it was just one bad disc.

Other Thoughts: I'll come back to confirm or deny that the problem was one disc or the whole case.
