5 out of 5 eggsWas best deal for a while...

Pros: Just made a stack of backups using them last month. VERIFIED 100% EXACT SAME DATA except in case where I attempted to overburn. Yeah, Blu-ray don't seem to allow that so it's not the disc's fault that the burner was super strict and wouldn't allow 5 more megabytes. :D Also, they apparently where shipping discs rated at 4x-8x lately, which brings up...

Cons: Now the major complaint: They're no longer on sale! :( Oh well, was good while they had them and of course another model will take their place. Rules prevent me from saying amount but it's "noticeable", hehe.

Might want to check your old burns for readability. There are testing tools to detect difficulty reading, if you want to use cheaper media and know if they're prematurely failing.

Other Thoughts: I'll be seeiing what my options are, as I wanted to buy another 25-50 BD-R's sometime soon. These are still a great deal, BTW! I don't really expect my system to keep up with 12x (60MB/s) burn rates, so higher-end discs are useless to me. YMMV!

5 out of 5 eggsSeems to work well

Pros: I've used 5 of these blank Bluray disc's so far. So far they have all worked 100%. (Windows 7, plus Pioneer burner, plus Nero2014)

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: When this pack runs out, these will likely be the ones I buy to replace them.

4 out of 5 eggsSurprisingly Great

Pros: Price... Why would you pay more for 25GB media?
Speed... In some cases capable of writing 6-8x

Cons: I didn't buy more of them.
Not Lightscribe capable.

Other Thoughts: I will probably try the 50GB media as well... haven't had any problems with these that were the fault of the discs themselves. Tried to burn a few bad isos.. these things happen. There's no sense spending big bucks for high quality media when this can happen and its unavoidable in a lot of cases.

1 out of 5 eggsAbsolutely Horrible!

Pros: Cheap price, but garbage

Cons: You get what you pay for. These are junk! I used about 15 when I first bought them. Now after two years, the media physically changed and they are no longer readable. Also, the disks that were never written to have also physically changed and are unusuable. Do Not Buy These! Also their customer service tried to get me to lie - saying that the disks were good - to get replacement disks!

1 out of 5 eggsOptical Quantum 25GB 4X BD-R Logo Top Media

Pros: None.

Cons: Unreliable media, and if you do get it to work, the backups and copies will not last long term. Don't expect this media to be a long term solution, if you can get them to burn. Recommend that you pay a little more up front and buy a quality disc.

Other Thoughts: To update my previous reviews. I had purchased over two 50 pack cakes, and more than two 25 pack cakes of these discs in the last four months. Besides having issues with the copies not working new, I have gone back through my library of Blu Ray backups using these discs, and the failure rate at the moment is running about 95%. Movies that I burned six months to less than a year ago, will no longer play, or play with serious degradation effects and artifacts. I cannot recommend this brand of media at all if you are expecting your copies to work months from now. It is costing me several hundred dollars to now buy a better grade of media with a better reputation for longevity to do my movie backups. I have tried to contact the manufacturer, but have received nothing in reply.

This MID on these discs is Phillips R-04, but is NOT made by Phillips. It is made by Moser Baer India, Ltd. Their reputation is not the best when it comes to media, so don't be fooled into thinking just because it has a Phillips name in the ID, that it is truly Phillips media.

I hope this can save someone some headaches, as there is a lot of bad Phillips R04 media out there right now from several different labels.

5 out of 5 eggsArrived Quickly. Burn Well. No complains.

Pros: - Super-fast shipping by newegg. I burned a few of these do far in an external blu-ray burner. No issues so far.
- Bought it on sale, so price was fair.

Cons: No coasters.

Other Thoughts: I use BD REbuilder and ImgBurn to burn most of my Blu Rays. Both are free and extremely powerful tools. No coasters with these disks.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Solid and reliable. I don't think I've ever had a failed burn on one of these yet. I always burn at 4X no matter what type of media I'm burning and everything has been cruising without issue. Highly recommend these discs -- I just bought another 25 pack this past week.

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsReturning customer.

Pros: I've bought these particular disks over and over as the need arises. I've tried x6 white surface ones and they gave me errors and the quality of the surface was worse--it would delaminate after lazer heating at places so I was dissapointed even though it was by the same company the quality was worse. These x4 are bult extremely well--the edges are actually liquified to be rounded and the layers are completely protected from elements (on the outer edge) and do not delaminate after lazer heating/recording like the x6 do. I trust these disks with my important data unlike the other type from the same company or the rozy company which also delaminated even at x2 speed.

Cons: Really no problems at all. I record at auto speed and sometimes it records at around x7 speed max and verifies around x8 to x9 speed. NOT BAD AT ALL!

Other Thoughts: No coasters. These is the only type and brand that I trust based on my previous experiences. The quality is great and it actually records at x4+ speed. I recommend you put it on auto or if you are too peculiar then on x2. I use ImgBurn free software only--the best, as far as I am concerned. Have burned them in native Dell Precision laptop x2 burner and LG BH12LS38 Lightscribe capable burner. (I couldn't find this model on newegg but you should be aware they exist, i.e. with Lightscribe capability.)
