2 out of 5 eggsNexus customer service unresponsive

Pros: Very quiet

Cons: Dear customer service,
I have the following issue with my computer.
Specifically when it get a bit warmer over 80F the computer shuts down
with blue screen. The operation system Windows 7 seem to be not the
cause. I also checked with the motherboard manufacturer, the video
card tested fine and had the memory checked and replaced by corsair.
Now I have the suggestion that it might be the power supply

5 out of 5 eggsVery Quiet and Has Many Connectors

Pros: It runs very quiet. It must have to do with its very large fan that runs slow. It has many different types of connectors. I also like the fact that I can remove the cables/connectors that I don't need to free up space inside the computer case.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I use it for a i5 CPU on a ATX motherboard, a ATI 5750 video card, one hard disk, and one DVD-RW drive. Honestly this power supply probably provides much more juice than I need.

5 out of 5 eggsPowerful and inaudible.

Pros: Silent. Lots of cabling for lots of stuff. Looks good. Silent. More than enough power to run just about anything. Quality parts. Silent.

Cons: Lots of cabling for too much stuff. The SATA power connectors are hard to attach to drives, especially in tight computer cases. No actual instruction sheet for the novice--don't forget to plug that 6-pin cable into your brand-new graphics card!

Other Thoughts: This component is the quietest piece in my computer. I can hear the fan in my Sapphire 5770 running at 41% speed above the DB's put out by this power supply. Newegg shipped it pronto.

2 out of 5 eggsNot so Quiet

Pros: Good power. Excellent modular design. Looks good.

Cons: Purchased unit from different vendor (newegg hadn't started carrying them). Fan was audible with a tiny ticking sound (sounded like a tiny motorboat). Contacted Nexus to ask if this is normal and I was told to RMA the unit, whick I did. A new unit was soon overnighted to me. To my dismay, the new unit made the same noise. I have an Email to Nexus. Maybe I'm just being too picky, but if advertised as silent, I think it should be. Maybe it is a coincidence and I just received 2 bad units.

Other Thoughts: This is by far the best constructed powers supply I've ever owned. Every detail is addressed, down to the recessed fan. You can tell a lot of pride goes int the manufacture. That is why I'm a little confused about the fan.

5 out of 5 eggsQuiet. Effective. Efficient

Pros: I like this power supply.

Quiet. Big fan
Efficient ($ and noise)
Pluggable cables design is nice. You can get only the power drops you need in the case.

Cons: None to speak of. So far so good.
