Pros: Simple device, works well, rugged metal case. Very simple disk swapping: no tray, no tools.

Cons: Confusing single/JBOD switch, useless 'backup' pushbutton, unit is taller than it needs to be.

Other Thoughts: Having an external enclosure that can hold two drives is surprisingly useful. This unit will hold 9.5mm drives, not the taller 12.5mm drives.

3 out of 5 eggsAcceptable. Could be better.

Pros: 2 bays, no trays! Easy access & removal. Individual lights for each tray. Power light. Good brightness level for lights on front. Not blindingly bright like some enclosures. Drives fit in tightly once closed. Worked with WD640BEVT & Samsung 640GB drive both purchased from newegg.

Cons: Single/JBOD switch confusion...You'd think that setting it to "single" would show a single drive spanned across the two bays, but "JBOD" does this. The "single" switch shows it as 2 drives to linux. Could this have been a printing error on the case? Backup button seems usesless. Not sure how to use it in Linux. USB cable seems lose in back, but I haven't had any disconnect issues.

Other Thoughts: Be careful/gentle with the trays. Don't force anything. If you do that, you should be good. Haven't tried "hot swap" under linux. Not sure if I'd buy another one...

Pros: The first 2.5 inch JBOD I found from the market, since I carried many portable hard drives for work and media. I used my old hard drives as a 1 TB drive at home and work. Now that I travel a lot more than I use to, it's small and portable which is easy to carry in my luggage and also made of strong aluminum material which wont damage from my trip especially by custom...

The product from my review is great, sturdy, and reliable. Very easy to use and fast swappable installation for my drives.

Cons: Does not support other than 9.5mm hard drives

Other Thoughts: They should make one with 4 to 5 bay JBOD w/ built in media player which would be great for traveling.
