1 out of 5 eggsBoth fans stopped working

Pros: Out of the box, it looked good and powered up the MSI motherboard with a AMD 9950 with no problems. Looked like it would be a good PSU with with good power and voltage ratings.

Cons: Both fans quit today after less than a week of operation. The unit got very warm, but I noticed the fans not running and shut the system down before anything got damaged. Something good to say about fans with LEDs - you notice when they are not running. Not a good omen for the MSI brand. Looks like it is RMA time tomorrow.

Other Thoughts: It looks like it is a quality item, weighs more and looks better built than the cheap power supplies I have used on some projects. But the cheap power supplies are still working and doing their job.

It would be interesting to know what went wrong in the unit.

Other Thoughts: Worth it to have the confidence in a nice power supply

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent PSU

Pros: Runs smooth and quiet. Fancy looking blue LED. More than enough power for a hardcore gaming PC. Efficient in removing hot air from inside case.

Cons: None at all!

Other Thoughts: Upgraded from a 450W RaidMax PSU that came stock with my RaidMax Ares case. It was a NOISY and UNSTABLE. This MSI PSU totally blows it away.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Power Supply

Pros: Lots of Connectors, 8 pin CPU connector which will come in handy if you have a quad core, Sata, nice blue lights

Cons: Out of everything else it took the longest to ship, but it came from california(arrived right on the 3rd buisness day), only 2 SATA connectors(just right for my current needs but i will probably need more in the future), Didn't come with screws(not sure if they typically come with screws)

Other Thoughts: Powers my quad core processor, 4 gigs of RAM, 2 hardrives, and Nvidia GTX 260 no problem, If i need another power supply i'd buy this again(unless i plan on using more than 2 SATA harddrives)

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: After 5 months of continuous use (I rarely turn my computer off), power supply is still running without any problems. Motherboard and video card run cool, even with overclocked processors. No problems with the case fans or when I'm running my DVD player either.

Cons: I haven't had any problems so far, but if you sleep in the same room where your computer is, the fans may be just a bit loud when nothing else is on. Personally, I think it runs quiet enough and I wouldn't disqualify this PSU unless you're a more discriminating person when it comes to noise.

Other Thoughts: Solid PSU but then again, I'm not running SLI or burning DVDs with it either. Multiple optical drives and/or video cards will probably require you buy something with a bit more wattage.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great power supply. I am running a ton of things on this and it has no problems at all. 4 gigs of ram, 2 hard drives and only one video card. Also i am running 8 fans total (including the 2 on the PS).

Cons: When i first started it the back fan had a slight ticking noise coming from it, i narrowed down the noisy blade and use a touch of sand paper to file of the nub sticking out and now everything works great! This is the only reason i took one egg off of its rating.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: What can i say its a PSU... its plug 'n' play. Works great, no problems with it. The LED's didn't fail like some other products, its also pretty quite. Nice finish & sturdy, not that i attempted to jump on it or anything..

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I would buy again, but i don't need one. Hopefully it will stay like that too.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat power supply here people

Pros: Great power supply. Plain 'n simple. Lots of connectors but not too many like some other ones. Nice blue LED's and dual fans to keep it cool. Buy this one!!!!

Cons: No mounting screws!!!! Fans are quite a bit louder than the power supply it replaced, obviously with the dual 80mm fans. Box was crushed but the PSU was okay thankfully.

Other Thoughts: Replaced a Thermaltake "Purepower" 500W with this one because of frequent rebooting. Well with this, no more rebooting and I was finally able to push my Athlon 5000+ BE past 3.0GHz (3.3 stable so far) without BSOD's. Also running it with a 8800 GT (OC'ed) and an Abit AN9S motherboard. Thanks Newegg!!!!
